[UAâs main courtyard buzzed with reunion chatter when Class 1-A filed in, half-expecting familiar facesâand still somehow unprepared for how different everyone felt after years apart. âWhoaâŚâ Kaminari squinted. âIs thatâ?â Mirio Togata waved first, bright grin unchanged.]
Mirio: Yo! Long time no see!
[Beside him stood Tamaki, already halfway behind Mirioâs shoulder, and Nejire Hadoâradiant as everâwho bounced on her heels the moment she spotted familiar uniforms. But it wasnât them that made Class 1-A collectively freeze.]
[Yuyuâonce composed, sharp-eyed, always perfectly put togetherâwas clinging to a tall manâs arm like her life depended on it.]
Yuyu: Akaaa, did you drink water? You look like you might be dehydrated. I packed extra towels. And snacks. And-
[The man beside her, Akaguro Kurogane, stood perfectly still, black coat immaculate, expression calm to the point of glacial. âIâm fine,â he said flatly.]
Yuyu: He said heâs fine. Heâs so strong.
[Uraraka leaned toward Momo and whispered.]
Uraraka: Is⌠is that Yuyu?
Bakugo:âŚWhat the hell happened to her?
[Akaguro glanced over, red eyes flicking to the group.]
[His tone was level. Familiar. Kuudere to the bone. Todoroki nodded once in understanding.]
Yuyu: Everyone! This is my husband.
[âHUH?!â Kaminari, Mina, and Kirishima yelled in perfect sync. Yuyu hugged Akaguroâs arm tighter.]
Yuyu: We got married two years ago. Isnât he amazing? He cooks. He trains. He sleeps exactly six hours a night. I time it.
Akaguro:âŚYou donât have to time it.
[Y/N, standing a little behind them with hands in his pockets, sighed.]
Y/N: She used to scare people.
Nejire: Now she scares Akaguro by loving him too much.
[Before Class 1-A could recover, two small figures came barreling across the courtyard.]
[Y/N barely had time to brace before a blue-haired little girl launched herself at his legs, followed immediately by a smaller one with darker curls who grabbed his coat.]
Y/N: Oi! I told you not to run!
[Amane looked up at him with sparkling eyes.]
Amane: But we missed you!
[The entire courtyard went dead silent. Midoriyaâs notebook slipped from his hands.]
[Nejire clasped her hands together, positively glowing.]
Nejire: Oh! Right! Everyoneâmeet Amane and Nya.
[She leaned in affectionately, resting her chin on Y/Nâs shoulder despite his immediate scowl.]
[Y/Nâs ears turned red instantly.]
Y/N: Tchâ! Keep your voices down! Youâll scare them!
[He bent slightly, scooping Nya up with practiced ease while Amane climbed onto his back like it was second nature. Nejireâs smile softened.]
Nejire: Theyâre total daddyâs girls.
Amane: Daddyâs the best.
Nya: Daddy scary to bad guys. Gentle to us.
[Y/N swallowed, jaw tight.]
Y/N:âŚOi. Donât say stuff like that in public.
[Nejire laughed, pressing a kiss to his cheek.]
Nejire: Youâre doing great, baby.
Y/N: Y-Yeah, well⌠someoneâs gotta.
[Class 1-A could only stare as the terrifying, tsundere Y/Nâonce known for biting remarks and emotional wallsâadjusted Amaneâs grip, steadied Nya on his arm, and listened attentively as they both talked over each other.]
[The realization didnât fully hit Class 1-A until later that afternoon. They were gathered near the training fieldsâold habits returning easilyâwhen Y/N set Amane and Nya down so he could speak with Aizawa. The second his hands left them, both girls froze.]
[Amane asked, tilting her head. Y/N glanced back.]
Y/N: Iâm right here. Donât move.
[He took exactly three steps away, Nyaâs lower lip trembled. Amane immediately wrapped an arm around her sister.]
Amane: Itâs okay, Papa said donât move.
[Class 1-A watched in silence as Midoriya whispered, "Theyâre⌠really calm."]
[Jiro muttered. Y/N turned back, eyebrows knit.]
[Both girlsâ faces lit up like Christmas trees. âYes!â they chimed at the same time. He nodded once, satisfied, and turned again. The moment his back was fully turned Nya bolted.]
[Y/N reacted instantly, spinning and catching her mid-toddle with one arm like it was muscle memory. He lifted her up, steady and firm.]
Y/N: I said donât move.
[He scolded, voice sharp but controlled. Nya clung to his neck, unfazed.]
[His grip softened immediately. "âŚTch," he muttered. Amane walked over, very serious, and tugged on his sleeve.]
[Y/N muttered. He crouched, bringing himself to their level.]
Y/N: Listen. When I tell you to stay put, you stay put. Got it?
[They nodded in sync. âBut,â Amane added,]
Amane: You gotta stay where we can see you.
[Class 1-A collectively felt their hearts crack.]
Nejire: Youâre so wrapped around their fingers.
[âI am not,â he snapped automaticallyâwhile shifting Nya higher on his hip and holding Amaneâs hand. Later, while everyone sat on the grass eating snacks, Mina noticed something.]
Mina: Uh⌠Y/N? Your jacket.
[He glanced down and saw that Amane had crawled halfway inside it, using the fabric like a blanket, her head resting against his side. Nya sat in his lap, methodically braiding a loose strand of his hair with intense concentration.]
Y/N:âŚI am holding still.
[âHe lets them boss him around,â Kaminari whispered. Midoriya was scribbling furiously at this newfound information. While Amane peeked out from Y/N"# jacket.]
Amane: Daddy, can we see you train?
[But Nya was resilient as she then offers.]
Amane: Weâll watch. From afar.
[Y/N hesitated, clearly conflicted. Nejire leaned over, whispering, âThey trust you.â His jaw tightened.]
Y/N:âŚFine. But you sit right there. Donât move. Donât blink.
[They both saluted. He stood, shrugging his jacket more securely around Amane so she didnât slip out, then carefully set both girls beside Nejire before stepping onto the field. The moment he started movingâcontrolled, powerful, precise. When he finished and walked back, sweat on his brow, both girls immediately ran to him again.]
[They hugged him tightly, and this timeâY/N hugged back without hesitation. Class 1-A watched, stunned and quiet. Bakugo scoffed.]
Bakugo:âŚHah. Didnât think Iâd ever see this.
[Nejire leaned into Y/Nâs side, smiling as Amane and Nya clung to him like anchors. And there was no doubt left at all. Those girls didnât just love their father. They trusted him with everything.]
