No spoilers for the game, just my first impressions, but I'll hide it under a cut anyway. The TL;DR is that I'm having a bad time with the writing in KEY and I'm stepping away from this blog for a long while.
UPDATE: This game is so buggy and laggy I just did a chargeback with my payment method. FUCK THIS GAME and fuck anyone who is apologizing for HerInteractive being incompetent.

Happy KEY eve!!! Be sure to participate in all the traditions! Celebrate by asking invasive questions about someone’s dead mom! Horribly mispronounce someone’s name! Hold a conversation with someone by repeating their last words (tHeIr lAsT wOrDs?)! Kiss a bucket! Put a ladle somewhere it shouldn’t be! And of course, make sure to leave out some Big Island Mike memes and cookies for Santa.
I will personally be carrying around a bag full of loose keys and glowsticks all day, challenging people to play games of chance with me to win them. People love this.
There were many responses to my post asking what people will tag their ND34 spoilers as, so thank you so much! There were multiple tags that people were going to use but from what I could see, the most common one was "#key spoilers". So for anyone who isn't sure what to tag their Mystery of the Seven Keys spoilers, that'd be a safe bet! And anyone who wants to avoid the spoilers for the game should definitely block that tag, and maybe a few others. :)
okay, so like, what're everyone's plans on the 7th?
I'm taking off work but can't start the game until like 3pm, so the order of operations is:
acquire snacks
play some other nancy games to get hyped
obsessively refresh the website until the game releases and pray it's not somehow like $75
watch some nancy drew related media, either youtube or the show from the 70's
eat all the snacks accidentally in my excitement
go out and get more snacks, also alcohol
spend all mid-afternoon/evening/night wrapped in my tortilla blanket like a puzzle-solving burrito and play the game
get progressively more drunk and yell at the suspects
go to bed at an unreasonable hour
Currently fixated on the implications behind the secret passage in The Final Scene that leads from the Men’s Dressing Room to a (easy to hide in) wardrobe in the Women’s Dressing Room… I do not like that.
Some things in these games hit reaaaaal different as an adult.

We know two facts about Henry Bolet:
Ned, a guy he doesn't seem to be close with, was so concerned with his wellbeing after his grandfather died that he sent his nosy girlfriend to check on him.
Henry is incredibly hot.
