People forget that when you’re 16, you’re probably more serious than you’ll ever be again. You think seriously about the big questions.

People around you will never stop breaking you until they see a picture of you portraying everything that they said you would be. But hey, it’s your life and you’re the one responsible for making it. Now, prove them wrong.

Many people who are unhappy are unhappy because there was some point in their past where there was some glory day, and as they get older they’re not creating more glory days. They reflect on a time that they will never reach again, and it brings some level of dissatisfaction to their lives.

Ten years from now, make sure you can say that you chose your life, you didn’t settle for it.

Live your life now; start in the morning. You mustn’t sit around waiting to die.

This year I learned that there’s a limit to living your life for other people. I’ve spent countless years living the way that I thought I was supposed to, for my family to be happy, for other people to be happy with me, because who I was didn’t fit their cookie cutter of who I should be. And fear of them finding out about that was enough to make me bury it deep down inside and never want it to come out.
