;Learn Something
As much as I am already an adult and a mother of 3, I still learn something new everyday. 2026 is the year that Yusuf officially starts school and I still say "Have Fun! Learn something!" to him and Sahar, everytime they walk into school.
School haave to be fun, only then they will be interested to attend school and learn something; anything. Even if they learnt something as small as spending their allowance at the bookshop, that is one step closer to independence. This new experience and knowledge is something that they need to do on their own.
They are aware that they need to take care of their belongings, and they have to be responsible for their own actions. Yusuf have been quite a well-liked boy by his teachers, and they always remind us of it when we fetched him. As a parent, it felt hella good, it means that we've raised him towards the right path and whatever we are doing, we should keep it up.
Sahar started Primary 1 this year. She enjoys school and i don't really much for her. Just need to put her in a new school routine. This time around, asking her if she has homework and it she has packed her school bag for the following day.
Both of their schools are very pro-parents involvement. There are always something that we, as their parents, have to complete with them. Not complaining, cause once they officially graduate from secondary school, things around the house will slowly change.
I am in no rush in ask my kids to grow up. Yes, I will guide them to do be independent and be resourceful, but definitely no rush in have them leave this home of ours.
Till then, i truly love all my babies. I always tell all 3 kids that even when they grow up and get married and move out, i will still call them my babies and there is nothing they can do about it.
