Meet this talented, beautiful woman, super-mom and funny fukah @damouseofink - She is a #nytattooartist that helped me get through a lot through her empathetic ear and gentle & witty advice. All while making my vessel feel more at home by infusing her ink and art in my skin. I wanted one. Mouse said "Yeah just one! ...for now!" Times square is empty! But my heart is full. I don't even care how corny that sounds. As hard as this year has been, I have gratitude today.. I am grateful that I haven't gotten sick. I have a home where I live with my brother Nathanael and my girl Kim. I lost some jobs but I have opportunities and working faculties. I've lost some people but thanks to zoom communities, have made friends all over the world that I wouldn't have made otherwise. I've sat in a lot of uncertainty, fear and stillness but did not respond to it in the same ways that I have done in the past. I'm far from perfect but my spirit is still making progress. I've connected with more family and hope to continue that. I am grateful I have been able to speak to my grandmother Charlotte more this year. That she's able to speak to me. The most beautiful gift I've received this year has been the addition of even more family - My girlfriend Kim - one of the funniest, smartest, beautiful people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing - asked me to marry her and I said yes. One day at a time, I strive to be a better person and God has gifted me with a life, a partner, hope and peace of mind that I will work to deserve and keep, one day at a time. Stay tuned for our pandemic-free wedding in 2022. I hope the best for everyone that reads this, whether we are close or not - or any variation - I pray you have a year with some peace, love and community.
