Revealed: The gender of Johnny Galecki and Alaina Meyer’s first child

Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki and his model girlfriend, Alaina Meyer, have revealed the gender of their first child.

The couple confirmed they are expecting a baby boy on Instagram, sharing a string gender-reveal party snaps and videos of themselves covered in blue paint.

“A day I’ll never forget,” Johnny, 44, captioned a photo of himself and Alaina, 22, kissing after the big reveal.

Alaina shared a simillar photo to her Instagram account, along with the caption: “To all those who voted boy you were right!”

The couple announced they are expecting in May in an interview with People magazine.

“We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world,” the parents-to-be told People.

“We ask that you please respect our privacy during this celebratory time for us and our families. There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours.”

Johnny and Alaina were first linked last year and made their relationship Instagram-official in September.

The actor was previously in a relationship with his Big Bang co-star Kaley Cuoco for two years before their split in 2010.

After her break-up with Johnny, Kaley married pro tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2013 and announced their split nearly two years later. The actress wed her second husband, equestrian rider Karl Cook, last year.

First one is a small moment, the moment Jamie gets Claire that medical box for their twenty-fourth wedding anniversary. That the damn man remembered their anniversary, he understands and respects his wife’s talents, so much so he choses something for her work rather than a jewel for her. (That’s love, bitch.) (Chapter 8)

Then when they talk about America, how it *will* be Brianna’s land, and how even though he’s 200 years before the America his daughter is in, he *still* wants to make it a great land for her. (And they talk about Ellen’s pearls, and then da mi basia mille, dein mille altera. That line always slays me.) (Chapter 9)

The First Law of Thermodynamics. Obviously. (Chapter 16)

The night that Ian is gone and it is just Jamie and Claire in the cabin. There’s a fire and Claire tells him stories of when Bree was a little girl. This one was when she was a little girl and it was career day at school, and a boy in the class got upset that Claire was a doctor and Bree got mad at the boy so she hit him on the head with her math book and then punched him. And Jamie starts asking if Bree would look for them and Claire says she hopes not- she should spend her time looking forward, not looking back, and Jamie gets all bloody Scot and reassures Claire that *their* daughter would look for them. (This *might* be my favorite scene.) (Chapter 21)

Then, when Claire sees Jamie and Bree next to each other for the fist time. And she does that double take. And Jamie has the largest grin on his face. “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! (I need that line in the show) And Bree wraps her mama in the biggest hug and Jamie is just watching it. And it’s the first moment’s they are a family and it makes me very emotional. (Chapter 41)

And lastly, the moment that Jamie wakes Bree up to go hunting. Bree watches from door as Jamie kisses Claire goodbye and Claire reaches up and touches his face. It’s something Bree never saw with Claire/Frank and she almost feels like she’s intruding when she’s watching it happen, but Jamie knows she’s watching and I love the moment because to Bree- Jamie is just this *man* Claire has talked about for all these years. How they loved each other, what they meant to each other. And for Bree, I think it was the moment it all clicked, all the things Claire did for her, gave up for her, I don’t know. It just made sense. (Chapter 42)
