You know that saying, "She's the only mother you get"? Sometimes that isn't very true, sure one birth mother and other times a sweet grandmother to care and raise you. A woman that couldn't bear a child of her own. An aunt raising her deceased sibling's child. A single father strongly baring the role or a gay father. On the rare occasion sometimes the idea of only having one mother is good enough, especially when you grow up realizing there is no love for her. I know what you might be thinking, How rude and what a terrible daughter I must be. Maybe I am acting out. "Mommy issues", spoiled brat. Let's begin with the fact that I am a grown woman, nowhere near spoiled. There wasn't really much violence growing up really so it's not like my mother abused me. To make matters worse, I don't love my father either. My mother got married and had me when she was just eighteen, which in those days was normal, common even. She said I came out perfect (What mother doesn't say silly crap like that) and got everything she had asked God/the lord for. Curly hair, chubby, rosy cheeks. Yep, that's me. It's not till I was an adult she admitted she fed me a lot of Mcdonalds in order for me to stay fat. My Father got to name me after a cousin of his that lives in Chicago and we never see at all. I met her once or twice. Whitest Latina, I mean like she was pulling a whole Michael Jackson move there. There is no way she is that white for real and with such dark eyes and hair. Seemed very materialistic, what we call a "Mamona". I am thinking dad had a crush on her at some point. I remember the countless times my parents both told me I was supposed to be a boy. Doctor error, apparently he couldn't tell the difference between my finger and a baby penis. I figure I was a disappointment from the start.
