Ringing in the new year didn't go quite as well as we had hoped. But we still have a good time when we all get together. I finished off my last winter break of my undergraduate career working, sleeping, visiting various coffee shops, and trying to write the perfect personal statement for my law school applications. Wish me luck! Today 01/10/2017 I started up school again. I think this term is going to be much better than the last. I'm looking forward to the future more and more as it becomes clearer to me. I went to the gym for the first time in a long time today. I really need to hold myself accountable for the things I eat and the damage I do to my body when I am vulnerable and just want to eat everything. I went to the store tonight and really packed in the greens and good food for weight loss and a healthy body. I'm really trying to be the best version of myself and to do that I need to be happy and comfortable with what I see in the mirror. I don't care too much about my size, I just want to be happy and healthy with myself. I am currently watching President Obama's farewell speech, trying not to cry my eyes out. He is one of the best presidents this nation has seen and it's going to hurt to have to say goodbye to the whole Obama family in a couple days. May this country be held in good hands for the next four years, not the ones of our president to be. That's all for now, and it's snowing. Just keep going.

So I failed at my resolution last year. What's new? I was supposed to take a picture of myself every day for 365 days. I got all the way to September 2nd and then stopped. Life gets in the way. So this year I'm going to try again, but maybe do it a little differently. This year I'm going to try for the picture a day thing again, but this time I'm going to post a weeks worth of pictures with a little summary about how the week went or what's happening in my life. I'm aware that it's the 10th of January already, so I don't have any pictures to give you. But I'll do a summary of the first ten days of the year. Keep up. Follow the hashtag #yearstogo2017
