Life of a Nomad

Democrat: Cares about protecting people's rights, the planet, and bettering our nations policies on just about everything. Able to have productive and intelligent debates. Republican: Too worried about instilling nationalism, religious indoctrination, and taking away people's rights to realize that we are seriously the laughing stock of the world. Debates usually include name calling and throwing shade. Usually ignores science.

A year ago I was homeless. I was crashing on whoever had an empty couch and an ounce of patience. I didn't stay in one place long enough to get a job and my boyfriend and I were having some serious issues. I was extremely suicidal about a few months later and I almost took my own life. Today though, I'm sitting in bed next to him in OUR apartment after a long shift at what might be the most fun job I've ever had feeling our healthy son kicking from the inside. We are getting married and I couldn't be happier if I tried. The day our son is due, is exactly a year later from the night I decided not to end my life. It gets better I promise. But not by waiting. It gets better by being a parent to yourself. By getting the right sleep and eating healthy and accepting that you're going to make mistakes and taking responsibility for them... but it gets so much better.
