So, everyone loves y2k, the clothes, the music, the culture, and even the economy.
My dream is to live in the 2000s, all i see on social media is how amazing it was back then. Everyone was so different, pop culture was at its peak, great music, juicy gossip, and the top artists were ruling the world.
When i close my eyes and envision my dream life, i think about living in that time, having a secure, well paying job, an apartment in LA or New York, wearing the cute outfits, and living the y2k dream.
It is 2026, everything that has happened 20+ years ago is resurfacing, the darkness comes to light. The schemes performed have been recognized by the public.
Celebrities, successful business men, politicians, and even people of heavy influence have been caught. Caught having secret affairs behind closed doors. Things people could have never imagined, and yet these people still haven't been arrested or held accountable.
My question for the reader "Were the 2000s great because people were oblivious?". They say ignorance is bliss. People didn't know about the unpleasant truths, all they knew was security, and trust. Trust that the people higher than them were doing everything correctly. I mean they said they were good people, they've donated so much money, made good music, had good influence, why would they do harm to anyone?
So knowing what you know now, do you envy the people of that era because they didn't know what was going on? Do you ever wish you didn't know what you know because you'd rather not know it at all?
I think to myself, do i feel that way?
do i only wish to live in that time because people were happy, or do i wish to live in that time because they didn't know the dark truth?
