Blog Post #11 Reinforcing the Audience
In todayâs class we discussed again about audience and how our projects were lacking the specific audiences that we were trying to reach with our project. As a class we read some questions like what are the need and wants of our specific audience. Â We forget sometimes that the project plan that we have is not meant for everyone in campus and we broad the likes and tastes, so at the end that project will have a regular tone and structure and as a failure many people will not be interested in the project.
Actually I am still a little bit lost on how to target not only one audience but two or three because we canât be always very specific with an audience because if we want the project to be a success, we have to broad a little the limit but not too much, that is what is confusing me. Also to know if actually those audiences exist near campus or in another campus my group made some research about if people have done something similar of what we are doing, so we can use this information to change the tone and some words in our project. My group decided to meet on Thursday to get done with the usability testing and to change and talk about our audiences.
I agree you sometimes it is hard to target one specific audience when everyone is different. There could be people who share things in common but might be persuaded more easily than another person who is harder to  persuade. It is tricky! but it is not impossible.
