Hey guys quick update: unfortunately I don’t think I’d be able to post a lot this year since I’d be taking my high school finals uh yeah that’s it :D

Art I draw? Usually fanart with a sprinkle of oc and sona art dumps. But let me tell you that I’m trying to further develop my art style and make it more flexible to draw different types of fun characters!

charms: quick focus + shape of unn + mark of pride + spell charms

when mawlek spits out orange blobs, focus on avoiding them. attack with vengeful spirit or heal (quick focus + SoU Allow you to heal quickly and move to keep avoiding the blobs). if using the nail to hit him, be careful not to get hit by his slash, keep an eye on his arm

when mawlek spits out a big orange blob, pogo him or DD as he will not attack for a little while. as soon as mawlek starts to move again, leave the central area

when you see mawlek jump, DD where you are to avoid damage or go to the central platform and DD there as he will come back right away

this is not the quickest strat but it helped me go from leaving the fight with one or two masks left to actually dealing with him painlessly

First of all it’s been months since this I’m so sorry

Second, with the help of u and another person assistance, I was able to defeat mawlek YAYAY

AND IN GODHOME TOO YAYAYAY

I generally try to stay on top of him when he's just moving sideways and swiping with his claws, it's pretty easy to get hits in barring the occasional goop that he shoots up

when he jumps, I wait to see which direction he's going so I can dash the other way and then return to hitting him

and when he shoots out the enormous mass of glowing goop I try to dash toward him before the goop has a chance to get to me

idk if it helps, but that's what I do and it generally works

shadow dash helps a lot

there's also a trick in hollow knight that bosses stagger faster when you hit them about seven times with about only 2 seconds between each hit (I think I have the numbers right) so that might help too

It’s been MONTHS but just to let u know that I used some bits off ur strat and it actually worked. Used the same strat off mawlek in godhome

And got him to not just Attuned, but to Ascended

That’s alr crazy enough for me
