Client "service"
When e-mailing CIPC needless to say you get a very quick response from an e-mail address on which you are not allowed to reply indicating:
“We acknowledge receipt of your application and we will send you a response in due course”
other responses with this and other queries were:
“COR39 is 60days E-COR39 turnaround times is 5days”
and
“Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your e-mail. Your enquiry regarding CC amendments (CK2 or CK2A) will be attended to.
For the names of the correct contact persons for other forms/functions please refer to our Service Delivery Standards on our website (www.cipc.co.za ).
Kindly note that the processing time according to our Service Delivery Standards is 7 working days for electronic (hybrid) CK2 documents and for manual documents it is 15 working days. We are not attending to any urgent registrations.”
How long is due course for CIPC? Don’t you love the “We are not attending to any urgent registrations”? (It might have become urgent as it has been dragging on and on!)
How is a client able to open a bank account and starting business, employing people to help the poverty situation in this country if CIPC is not doing their part?
With my last e-mail to CIPC’s I was informed that someone else is going to reply on my e-mail. Why is there a Service Delivery Standards on their system if the persons you send e-mails to do not answer you?
Please also remember that we had the Post office strikes in Pretoria and CIPC still did not get all the documents send by registered mail!!??
One of our clients asked me if I’ll have a problem if he contacted CIPC regarding changes to the members of his CC?  After contacting CIPC (Petro) requested verified copies of the documentation send to CIPC by registered mail which was send a second time. Luckily I cc’d him in on all correspondence with CIPC so that he could see what we are dealing with!
His e-mail to CIPC was as follow:
“Dear Petro,
I have been holding for over half an hour for someone to even take my call at your switchboard. Maryna tells me that she is still unaware of the status of XXXXXXXX being written over into my name, nor has she heard back from you since the necessary documents were sent to you a second time on 19 February. I urgently require the new CK documents and I am not even sure what the current status is of the write-over. Please could you get back to myself or Maryna urgently. “
So pleased that my client had a bit more understanding for what we deal with after he tried!
Inefficiencies galore!
The 18th of October 2013 we submitted documents to CIPC to change two Director’s Residential-, Postal- and the business addresses together with the name of the Auditor and the one director’s surname changed from her maiden name to her married name.
A proper cover letter was attached which indicated step by step everything that had to be done.
It took CIPC weeks just to change the Business and Postal addresses!  None of the rest were done! After many e-mails we are still struggling to get it all done.
As this is also a surname change from a maiden name to a married name it is something we cannot do on our side or on the wonderful CIPC website. I wish we could though, like with the E-COR39’s!
Is it really that difficult to change a surname if you have a marriage certificate, verified copy of an id. document and a cover letter with all the necessary documents attached and explaining you what to do?
It seems as if one person only do address changes, another something else and another something else…. and so it goes on…
How difficult is it to pass the work on after you have done your bit? Are there managers who can assist employees to do all that is necessary or do we have to submit a cover letter with only one request at a time thus 7 different letters for one client’s changes?
