Realm of Constantine

Dedicating to HellBlazers: "It wasn't only because I was a writer. I wanted new experiences and I wanted to know Dean more. 24 God damn hours!!! Contracts expire today, and none of us is fully prepared. This fight for Constantine has turned into full-fledge war. Can’t even focus. Energy that flows through each of the HellBlazers, again and again shows the society that we’re not giving up. No quitters here - and no people, who is running away from this fight.

Right now, a web-page is underconstrucion & still thinking about how to issue the fan-video game, based on the story of HellBlazers. That could be fun, no? Campaign documents are on the run and in the process. Still no luck with the possibillity of doing the festival, dedicated to Constantine. But it could be a good booster for the show itself.

When a dancer turns out to be a warrior... a HellBlazer warrior.

I’ve always been an escapist, since I was a kid. I could find help and support in books, movies, games, series etc. When I first encountered Constantine, I had no job, no mentor in dance, problems in life & infinite conflict with my boyfriend. I was literally dying. I just wanted to curve into a little ball, hide somewhere in the corner and never get out of there. 

But when Constantine has appeared in my life - something changed in me. First it was just great time, which I’ve spended with the series - characters, atmosphere, energy.. but then... it was like a crack, because of which I’ve started to break through the cocoon I got into because of being betrayed. Following the characters, I knew that because of the story & plot Inspiration can return into my life. And it happened. I felt the desire of dancing again. I felt that I want to write. In performers of Constantine some of my characters has been brought to life. I wanted to stay in this world, the world of Constantine, forever. Especially when I met HellBlazers - wonderfull people with great hearts & characters.

Sassy John, father figure of Chas, strong & smart Zed, tricky Papa Midnite, guidance of Manny - “I’m with friends”, I thought.

But when news about possible cancellation of the show have reached me - it was like a call to war for me. And I thought: “It’s not about you, Blaze. It’s about the whole team”. When I took part in the campaign - it looked like a full-fledge war for me - a war for a different world, where each of us has become an expected guest. But social media wasn’t enough - that’s when HellBlazers Network came in. We’re all equal - with our talents, strong sides, weaknesses, habits... but for Constantine we are here. And seeing HellBlazers keeping up the fight, I understood and allowed myself to believe that we can make a difference. And weakness is a luxury we can’t afford ourselves. 

And when System brings us down - we rise. And if System doesn’t want Constantine - we will bring him back. Talking in her languages, but playing our rules - the rules of HellBlazers. Because Constantine is not just a show. But a reason to fight, to create, to support - to be US! Artists, dancers, writers, marketing minds, comic book lovers - all because of you, Constantine. All because of the cast and crew, who brought this show to life. And will bring back again - when HellBlazers come in. Have faith. Fight your blood out! We can and we will provide any help for the show & it’s promotion.

Yes, yes, yes. I know that most of you will try to say to me the same thing - that’s hopeless, Blaze. And you’re stupid to be in love with a character & a performer. Will correct you out, “dear” haters - I’m in love not in just with a character or a show. I’m in love with people, who can create great modern art, who can think out of Reality & bring something new and fresh into this world. When I first watched #Constantine - it was like a breathe of fresh air for me. I had no job, problems in life, without dancing & plans for the future. But in #Constantine - its cast, characters, atmosphere, I found not just a source of inspiration. I found a reason to fight again. I met not just friends - I met soulmates. A family. 

Because of #Constantine I found power in me to discover magic again. I’m an Escapist, mates & luvs - I warned you before and warning about it now. Fans are key. Key to helping out the show to be brought back. I wonder, what networks are scared off? Another failure, I gues. So, that’s why “HellBlazers Network” has been created. Each of us in here is the Leader - an artist, a fan, a magician, a supporter. So, my fellow #HellBlazers - shall we then? ;)

Ok. Summer is upon us, #HellBlazers. We have a whole extra month to make a difference and help #Constantine to rise again. #HellBlazers are trying to reach all famous networks, like #CW, #Netflix, #FOX etc. to make them to pick the show. But there are two sharp stones that can mess all things:

1) Ratings of the show at NBC were too low, and most of the networks think that it’s impossible to make a project successful, while it used to be a failure.

2) The show itself has IT - the dark core, the most people are afraid of.

And yes - networks like to talk money & ratings. That’s why I, Blaze, decided to create a volunteer group called “HellBlazers Network”. It’s a draft name by now, but, I think, it represents us a lot. The goal of the group is to cooporate with the networks in the terms of PR, ratings etc. Speaking in simple language - draw attention to the show in any possible way and present information & statistics for networks, so it could help to keep the show running. 

Maybe, it sounds stupid and naive, but, sometimes, the fans can save a show. Remember “Veronica Mars”? No? Then read about how the fans of the show gave their everything to bring the show back on screen. So #HellBlazers are doing the same right now, giving their everything to bring back their favorite show. Art, press, parties, lectures even - in their own special way. Last couple of months have been crusial for #Constantine and us, #HellBlazers. Cancellation by #NBC and “rumors: from #CW - that kind of falling could crush anyone. Anyone - but not #HellBlazers. This show has changed many lives and we can’t let its Spark die. Maybe, someone will tell me that i’s fucking stupid to be in love with a show. To be in love with its characters, cast, atmosphere etc. Tell you what, haters - just U FOFF! Most of you don’t even understand what it means - to be inspired by something that it’s not real from one point of view. Reality has rejected me a long time ago, so I’ve started to look for source of energy and inspiration in stories of art. And #Constantine has become as one of gems in this collection. Don’t believe me? Ask other #HellBlazers. 

When most of others are ready to give up, we are still fighting our blood out. Because we know what it mean - to be a #HellBlazer. To be a part of something different, something special. You can call it as the fight against the System, where none of many can win. But we are about to do whatever it takes to help #Constantine to rise. 

And that’s why the campain goes on a different level -together with #HellBlazers we are forming a volunteer group. #HellBlazers Net - how does that sounds, eh? Anyway, short purpose of this group is to cooporate with Networks on #Constantine, giving attention to the show, ratings, new viewers etc. The Bill itself will be done during this weekend. I think, it will be easier if you have a right manual for that kind of a mission. And right friends too. #HellBlazers - just love the fandom. Love its people. In the mean timw - finishing the map:

Fellow #HellBlazers, I made a decision. Searching for a new home for our beloved show & cast, we need to go and think outside of the box - outside tweeting, streaming, calling etc. I know that many of you have creative minds. So, I’m asking U - dance, write, draw, sing, design - dedicate your work to #Constantine & share it! All other networks, with whom we are keeping in touch, need to see that we can just not bring great ratings and attention to the show, but we also can be inspired by it! Look at me, for example - because of #Constantine I’ve retunred into dancing. One of my friends, who is a Spanish #HellBlazer, draw wonderfull pictures! And the list can be continued on and on. 

Unfortunatelly, the Twitter cannot fill all lists of messages and creativity, which I’m about to share, so I’m calling all of #HellBlazers out. I’m doing three creativity projects now, which can be transformed into full-fledges books and send out to the newtworks:

1) #HellBlazers map - name the country you are from and I’ll pin it with a #HellBlazer flag.

2) #HellBlazers fan-book - send me all your works, dedicated to #Constantine - drawings, poetry, stories - even thankyous! A book will be formed and send out. 

3) Cultural research and #HellBlazer diary - articles, spells, legends. Also forming it into a book.

Why all of this? #Constantine has become a grand part of our lives - a grand source of inspiration. And our art works can provide an additional proof of our dedication to the show, characters & cast!
