Please take a moment to follow this Vanitas. Always in character and good at it. 

"Are you gonna be able to eat that without jamming it up your nose by mistake?"

He bought them each a bar of ice cream. "Here." he held Sor'a hand up to the bar. 

"Don't let it melt."

Though, he didn’t care. It was entertaining. 

"Yeah but… dude… no, we need to get you a different shirt or something. You look like you belong in a library and we’re pretty much going to a skating rink. Let’s go to my place first. I’ll lend you an Ozzy Ozbourne shirt or something." he smiled.

"I think I got one of their shirts when they opened for Fall Out Boy... Hmm..." he tapped his bottom lip then looked up at Ienzo. 

There was a bit of applause here and there especially when he pressed the foot pedal to alternate between electric and acoustic. He moved and twisted himself with the sounds, stepping on more pedals to repeat and to cut up percussion. 

This. This right here was his place. It was his peace. 

The blond was left to wonder, though. In the past two hours… Vanitas had not shown up. For a while, Roxas was convinced that the raven had forgotten all about him. He was coming to terms with the fact that the boy simply wasn’t going to show up and that he was not interested. Why would he be?

When he decided to look back at the crowd, blue eyes flashing around one last time, he almost paused his playing when he saw that familiar gaze and golden orbs. 

Roxas’ mind kind of… spazzed but he tried to remain cool and keep playing. 

He showed up…. He was standing right there in that cocky demeanor of his.

It made Roxas want to show off even if it was just a little. He smirked and kept some eye contact, going out on a small electric solo after switching pedals for the last time. 

It took about twenty seconds but Roxas was more than up for it and he didn’t mind showing off for Vanitas. 

Once it was done, he broke eye contact and put down his violin, bowing to the crowd that cheered and applauded some more before it started to disperse. 

        —|| ★ The musucian can’t help the smirk that slides across his lips as the smaller blond finds the urge, the slight need to put his talents on display at the sight of him. Vanitas egotistically believes that it’s because of him- the way those azure orbs continuously drop back to his own gaze. He looks at him in particular, out of all the people in the crowd, despite the short amount of time that his solo is.

        Vanitas brings calloused palms together to offer his counterpart a generous set of claps, even after the group around him begins to disperse and go along in their own directions. Not that the raven haired male at all minds- he in fact enjoys bringing a little suspense between the two. He gives the other space, letting him put away his things before his combat boots once again scuff the floor.

        He closes the distance between them, but remains a little as not to intrude on Roxas’s personal space. His eyes travel over the violin, inspecting the instrument before inspecting the other work of art right by it.

        Roxas seems a little flustered- to him at least. It might be the faint burning red edging around his neck as Vanitas remains silent by him. He likes that- he likes putting the boy on edge, as he seems to be doing. But he decides after another moment not to prolong his torture when he has an entire night to do so; to crawl under his skin, to make him remember Vanitas- all of it could be for tonight. A date was a date and Vanitas liked to deliver.

        “So, I have to say you’re pretty freakin’ good." He compliments smoothly, letting his hands slide out of his pockets and drop to his side. He tilts his head, perking a single brow. "But if you’re only going to show off once in a while… well I think you should do it just a little more often." It’s a tease from his end, accompanied by a light hearted shrug that rolls from his shoulders.

His bow and and violin were next to be tucked away and he finally looked back up as the raven acknowledged him. 

"I guess that means you liked how I play." he packed up the electronic equipment as best as he could into a dufflebag, slinging that across his shoulder before picking up the violin case. 

He couldn't help but feel like there were butterflies in his stomach... this boy had a strange effect on him and he had no idea how he felt about it yet. 

"What makes you think it's only once in a while?" he smirked. "If you come hear me play more often you might be surprised. Unless... you're special enough for a private show." that was his pathetic attempt at flirting but maybe. Just maybe. It was working. 

"Fine. Lead the way." he blew a blond spike out of his eyes and waited for the other to start heading the way of the restaurant. "But I hope you know it's my turn to watch you play now." he added.

"Oh my, this place just seems to be bustling with life! Salutations to all of you, my name is Riku Hinode…"

"I.. that's not necessary I've got enough clothes ma'am." why was she being so nice to him?

Roxas managed to sneak and scale a fire escape on the back of a music store. 

This…this was perfect. He sat at the edge, near the sign and dangled his legs off. He could listen to the music and enjoy the view at the same time.

Best part? No one else could see him.

Just as he stepped outside into the warm dusk evening, Axel caught sound of someone humming, but… where was it coming from? Looking around a bit, his emerald gaze finally flicked up to spot the younger male on the room. He slipped the strap of his mandolin case of his shoulder and started to climb up the fire escape ladder, smiling a bit as he saw how content the other was.

"I-I'm sorry!! I didn't mean to trespass or anything, I'm--!" he shut his mouth at the question though.

"I'm... " he flushed "How do you know that I play an instrument?" 

Roxas had heard another instrument being played in the music shop. He wondered if this man with the shocking red hair was responsible for it. 

He shuffled in his spot awkwardly for having been caught in his little secret place. Rubbing the back of his neck, he looked back up into those piercing green eyes. 

"I suppose you had me going around killing people or something? Not gonna lie, you look pretty scary." he smirked. 

"Are you as scary as you look?"

 ”You’re spot on. What a good guesser you are. You deserve a cookie.”

"My name? Oh. It’s Roxas." he responded, trying to shake his hood off a little more. The movement caused the hammock to swing slightly. 

Axel was really warm next to him. 

"Yes. Better. Though your butt’s hogging most of the space." He didn’t really mind being called a princess for some reason. 

“Roxas.” Axel said it once before turning his head slightly to take in the blond’s features. Not that he cared as to who is beside him, but he would like to know the face of the person he was talking to. 

“Tsk. Like yours is any better. You’re just jealous that I have some.” It was nice. Having someone to talk to under the quiet night. How glad he was that he found this place. 

“Eh…They were bunch of immature rich brats that doesn’t know how to spend their money.” Axel commented, his tone was laced is disgust and boredom as he talks about the party. Birthday suit? It sounds stupid already.

He wiggled a bit as he said so, looking back at Axel. "You're... right. They are. It's pretty much why I'm out here. Plus... I don't really wanna go home yet. Y'know? Don't think the others would let me live it down if I go home this early after a party." 

Why was he telling this complete stranger this? 

"Anyway..." he wiggled his feet, looking up at the sky. 

        —|| ★ Headphones blare at a ridiculous volume; feet scuff against the side walks and hands are shoved into the pockets of a black sweater. He’s somehow managed to shove his hair into the hood of it despite the amount of spikes that seem to defy gravity. His headphones are a contrasted yellow- practically neon- as he makes down to the location the blond had told him yesterday. 

       Roxas. The name brings a slight smile to the man’s face despite having only known the other for, maybe, less than half an hour. He’d say it was his charms, but anyone else would say it was his persistence that got him the date with the busking musician. Either way, he was headed over to his site now- and he could just make out the crowd gathered at the down town fountain. Change jingled in his pockets as he crossed the street, as he’d obliged to the other’s request. Still, no wishes were needed, but maybe he’d want to make a wish of his own. 

       Ten minutes to six, Vanitas ‘graces’ the area with his presence, a relaxed mask has etched its way onto his pallid features. Amber gold optics search the crowd for the source, pushing forward as politely as his short tempered self can manage. When he feels he is nearing, he pauses the music and slides off the headphones, allowing them to dangle around his neck. He can hear a melody above the near silenced mutters of the crowd, and the faint smidgen of a sound where the other coins meet others. He must be getting a good tip today. 

        Amused, Vanitas makes it to the front, eyes searching for the blond and his violin. Was it electric- or a traditional wooden make? He was curious. And he wonders if the time he’s taken has put the boy on edge- questioning if he’d actually show up or not. He had his reasons for his timing.
