Kaleb laughed along with her cute laughter, his smile curling up more. It almost hurt to smile but at the same time, he was enjoying his time talking with Helen. “Now you are just egging me on to drink.” Still he rolled his eyes at her when she stated he did indeed. “I’ll make a tally, people who say I’m hot and people  who say I’m not. I’m going for the not though” 

Helen was fairly sure her abs were going to wind up sore as hell by the time this all came to the end. “Oh, lovely boy, you are going to get impossibly smashed if you try for that.”

‘’ Nope I am the complete opposite, I like to take the alternative roads and try to go the nonnormal path. Its why you don’t see me working at stressful 9 to 5 kind of job. I thought I would go crazy if I was in that environment. And I am rambling again.’’  He chuckles ‘’ Its ok.’’

“Ah, well, I’m the cook, so I suppose I don’t have much of a leg to stand on. Hours might be different, but the stress is definitely a high factor. Can’t say I blame you for looking into something less likely to work your blood pressure up.”

Laughing lightly at her comment, Kaleb’s next words were only to add to the Klingon useage. “cha'DIch Hol, let ‘oH detect.” Only to laugh at himself. Kaleb was the level of nerd that he laughed at his own jokes to feel good even if people didn’t understand or did. Though he was curious if she could pick up what he said. “I do?” He questioned about his nice face. Kaleb was terrible at seeing if people were flirting or not, and he didn’t have enough confidence to believe he was ‘hot’ material 

“I owe you...” Helen tossed her hands up, already chuckling. “Well, damn, I don’t know. A drink at the very least.” She couldn’t resist arching a brow at Kaleb’s question, lips still curled upwards from the previous burst of amusement. “Trust me, sweetheart, you definitely do. Stop by the bar sometime; I’m sure there’d be no shortage of people determined to tell you so.”

Or anywhere, really. Lot of people could us an IV drip full of coffee. You know- from coffee addicts to dude and gals that need to stay up for over twenty four hours.

Ah, well, better to be a coffee addict over something else, right? And, well, I might not be up 24/7, but I am practically nocturnal by this point. Coffee makes the world go round at this point---or at least gets you out of bed the quickest.

Julius chuckled, sort of liking the woman’s charm. She was pretty funny not sure if she meant to or not. ‘’ Ah it does sound illegal but who doesn’t do illegal things once and a while, can’t always be a perfect, sinful person.’’

Helen’s brow was arching before she could help it. “And here I thought you were one of those by the book types. That will teach me not to judge a...” She jerked to a stop pulling a face. “Oh God, no I’m not going there with that pun.”

“I ramble enough sober that when I’m drunk it’s just added on to the nerd level in me.” Kaleb chuckled back to Helen. “Almost huh? I’ll have to see it for myself really” 

“I have nothing to stand on when it comes to judging nerd levels. Although if you spout out Klingon when drunk color me impressed.” Helen shrugged, holding out her hands somewhat sheepishly. “So long as me don’t put you right in the fray. You have too nice a face to risk a sauce pan getting waved anywhere near it by an irate junior cook.”

Julius chuckled cheerfully and shrugged his shoulder lightly. ‘’ I am not much of a quitter but I suppose you are right.  I am guessing you have tried this IV drip and coffee combo right?’’

“Not yet! Hence the polling for census...and access to IV tubing. One of these things sounds more illegal out loud than expected.”

I have no fuckin’ idea, but if you ever find out- tell me that shit because that’s something I’d invest in.

Sort of surprised it isn’t already set up somewhere southeast. Those sorts are always looking for something wacky to go with their fun. Ah, well, time for a bit of trial and error.

Julius raised his eyebrows, not sure how to answer. ‘’ Uh i have no idea, I don’t think that’s a very good combination anyways.’’

“Careful now, darling. That sounds like quitter talk.”

“I will follow what your costumers would say as a goal in life now. That’s how I live honestly.” Kaleb admitted to Helen. “Ooh, so you have been watching Hell’s Kitchen? I have to say such a good show. Gordon Ramsey is one of my favorites in the cooking world.” 

“Careful now, people ramble quite a bit when properly drunk. There’s a reason we snag their keys more often than not. But, well, I promise real cooks don’t curse quite that much in the kitchen.” Helen pinched her fingers together. “Almost.”
