Media Reports/Fan Accounts of SnK Seiyuu Session at AnimeJapan 2019
Kaji Yuuki (Eren), Ishikawa Yui (Mikasa), Inoue Marina (Armin), and Kamiya Hiroshi (Levi) appeared yesterday at AnimeJapan 2019′s SnK stage!
Kaji Yuuki shared two photos (One with the event MC). Various media outlets as well as fans provided accounts of the session.

According to Mantan Web & Eiga.com, Kaji Yuuki said that the cast is about to record the “key episode” that was shown in the Season 3 Part 2 preview (During the “glitched” Part 1 finale ED). He notes that even though Levi is an “absolute leader” in Eren’s mind, there is still the feeling that “they’ll grab one another by their collars.” Additionally, he treats each one of his characters very seriously, so there is a part inside him that becomes synchronized with Eren. Kamiya Hiroshi then remarked, “Yes, he still acts roughly at our dinners after each recording.”

When the seiyuu were asked to describe their own performances in Season 3 Part 1 with one kanji and an explanation:
Kaji: “Giant/Huge”
Ishikawa: “Surname”
Inoue: “Female” (Referencing the warehouse scene with Armin in disguise)
Kamiya: “Lively” (Referencing Levi becoming active again after Season 2)
Inoue: “Female - but I have no memory of this.”
Ishikawa: “I witnessed the start of it.”
Kaji: “There was an old man who became drawn to you.”
Inoue: “There was a horse next to me.” (Jean)
Kaji: Eren has become a “huge” human being. He always believed he was special, but during one episode in S3 Part 1 he was devastated. He asked for everyone to let him trust in himself one more time before transforming - that was a “huge” episode.
When asked to describe Season 3 Part 1 as a whole with one kanji:
Inoue: “Parent, because we saw Rod Reiss, Erwin’s father and Carla. Through them we can understand the origins of our protagonists.”
Kaji, Ishikawa, Kamiya: “People/Humans.”
Kaji: “Including parents, this season talks about a lot of people. And when the events and drama of people who are important to our protagonists are animated, it propels you to empathize with the characters even more ”
Ishikawa: “Although the Titans are the absolute villains up until now, in season 3 it turns into battles “against humans.” Part 1 makes us realize that in the end, it’s about humans vs. humans in many ways.”
