i hope today is even more special for you than it’s ever been. it’s extra special for me, too: this year, i get to celebrate only a few miles away from you. when you blew out your candles with your friends last night, i was, unbelievably, only a bus ride away. seeing your numerous birthday wishes and cheerful posts today made me smile so wide. you deserve to be that happy every single day; i hope you are. when i look back now, a lot has changed since the first time i celebrated your birthday. a lot more will change soon, but i know you’ll always be you, and that means everything to me. i say it all the time, but i’ll say it again: there is no one like you. there is no combination of kind, loyal, funny, smart, talented, charismatic, unique, genuine, and brave quite like yours. i’ll always be proud of you, and proud to call myself your fan. there’s no one i would rather spend 6 years of my life admiring. i’ve been endlessly lucky to watch you grow. you’re my role model, kim heechul, because you have the biggest heart in the world. i’ll be with you every step of the way. i hope your 34th birthday was as amazing as you are. i love you, and thank you for everything.
