After being disappointed in missing out on Laneway last year I'm finally going to the Auckland show this year! Once again the lineup is pretty decent and well rounded too imo. Let's start the countdown with a hip hop duo from NYC.
Ever since electronic music got massive in recent years it's influence in popular music has been pretty obvious. These guys utilise it a bit differently though and I'm absolutely digging that fragmented sound.

His unusual voice (unfortunately I can't think of a more descriptive adjective) accentuates the song in a big way for me, heightening the underlying eeriness.
