                    ❝          WHAT     ?     YOU   DON'T   HONESTLY   EXPECT          ---------------          ❞          eggsy     cuts     himself     off     with     a     sigh          ,          half     ---     defeated          &          half     ---     annoyed   .     sometimes          ,          it     seems     like     she’s     trying     to     be    a     perpetual     thorn     in     his     side          .   .   .         but    there     are    moments    where          ,          despite     everything          ,          she’ll     do     or     say     something     so     heartfelt          &          genuine     that     he     doesn’t     even     know     how    to     react   .     yeah          ,        poppy’s     one     big     contradiction          ,          sending     him     mixed     signals     whenever     they     interact   .     he     figures     he     might     as     well     return     the     favor   .          ❝          .   .   .          alright   .     come     on   .          ❞

                    SHE’S   PICKED   UP   BRIDAL   STYLE     ,          &          he     tries     to     make     sure     she     gets     some     semblance     of     comfort     in     his     arms   .     she’s    a     little     heavier     than     he     thought     she’d     be          ,          but     eggsy     doesn’t     seem     to     be     having     any    problems   .     they     move     on     like     that     in     silence     for     a     couple     seconds   .          ❝         you     owe     me     one   .          ❞          never     mind          ,          he    ruined     it   .

       she’s got a bad habit of appearing where she shouldn’t be with an exceedingly smug aura of oh, sure, i belong here   —   eggsy’s hotel room just happens to be one of them. his back faces her as seems to materialize behind him, lounging comfortably on the sofa with a diet coke in hand. he’s changing, but she’s certainly not blushing about it. rather, she grins   (  maliciously? genuinely ? playfully ? who knows !   ) .

                    HE’S   GRABBING   HER    ARM     &     PULLING     her     around     the     corner          ,          so     they’re     briefly     hidden     from     the     people     socializing     all     over     this     place   .          ❝          how’d     you     get     here          ?          ❞

         “I suck..” She said, going over to get a sip of water. “You don’t need to lie to me.. I have enough people in my life who do that..” She shock her head and looked at him with curious eyes. How did he do it? How did he fight so elegantly, and fearlessly.

     “Again. I’m not stopping until I got it” She said, putting down her bottle and moving back over to try once again, making sure not to arch her back as she uses every muscle of her being to get out of his grip.

                    EGGSY   MIGHT   NOT   EXACTLY   HAVE     teaching     experience          ,          but     he     knows     she’s     a     good     student   ;     anyone     who’s     willing     to     try    one     thing     over          &         over     like     this     just     has    to     be   .     that’s     good   .          ❝          if     you    say     so   .          ❞          she     certainly     doesn’t     suck          ,          but     if     she     doesn’t     want     unearned     praise          ,          then     he     won’t     deliver     it   .

                    SHE   DOES   WHAT   HE   SAID     ,         &          her     technique     could     use     some     work          ,          but     she     doesn’t     do     a     half     ---     bad     job   .     after     about     half     a     minute         ,          she     sort     of     loosens     his     grip          ,          but     he    has     time     to     step     away     before     she     knocks     him     down   .          ❝          try     it     fastah   .     in     a    real     fight         ,          you     ain’t     gonna     get     enough     time     to     do     alla     that   .          ❞

                    IF   SHE   DIDN’T   DO   THIS     constantly          ,          maybe     he’d     be     okay     with     it   .     or          ,          at     the     very     least          ,          he’d     be     able     to     shrug     her     off          &          just     answer     her     without     a     hitch   .     eggsy     likes     to     think     of     himself     as     the     charismatic     type          —————          really          ,          he     does   .     but     when     it     comes     to     poppy          ?          that     girl     honestly     broke     his     last     nerve     quite     a     while     ago   .

                    HE’S   INSTANTLY   ANNOYED .   SEEMS   LIKE     he’s     staying     that     way          ,          suddenly     grumpy     for     what     she     probably     considers     no     reason   .     why     is     her     entertainment     above     all     else          ?          (          what     a     hypocrite   .          )          ❝          nothin’   .          ❞          lid     of     his     laptop     is     slammed     shut     to     accent     the     word          ,          in     a     way     that's     nearly     suspicious   .          ❝          poppy   .     ’aven’t     you     got     anyone     else     to     bothah          ?          ❞
