                    BOTTLES LINE THE COUNTER before him, and he wants to DISAPPEAR. he didn’t want owen to find out about his PROBLEM, he wanted to keep this a secret, had been determined to do so for as long as he could. he can see the SHOCK in his brother’s gaze as he points at the bottles, and a lump forms in the younger grady’s throat. he wants to DENY it, wants to laugh it off and tell owen that he hadn’t. but, he knows he can’t keep LYING to owen, can’t keep pretending that he doesn’t have a drinking problem. he was bound to get CAUGHT eventually. he just wished it hadn’t been like this.

                    he swallows thickly, eyes avoiding his older brother’s before he nods his head, jaw tightening as he looks away from the bottles, gaze locks onto the floor. he doesn’t speak yet, scared of how SHAKY his voice will be when he finally does. he realizes that owen still doesn’t know the full extent of the ABUSE he had faced when they were kids. because it was something that jonathan never wanted him to know about. but, it had been the abuse, the memory of those drunken words that had been burned into his brain that pushed him into alcoholism. though, a small part of him HOPES that this, that owen finding out will get him the help he needs. ❛ i drank all of them  ----  and more. ❜

                    HE SHOULDN’T BE angry with owen, he knows he shouldn’t ---- it’s not his brother’s fault that bella had been hurt, it’s not owen’s fault that a dinosaur tried to KILL THEM. but the agent is FURIOUS that bella is trapped in a hospital bed after owen had PROMISED she wouldn’t get hurt. promised to PROTECT bella. he grips owen’s shoulder as he shoves him back, out of bella’s room and into the hall. he pays no mind to the hospital staff around them, doesn’t pay any attention to the eyes on them, as he points an accusing finger at his older brother and shouts,  ❛ you FUCKIN’ promised she wasn’t gonna get hurt ! ❜ green hues BURNING with anger as he stares at owen, jaw locked tight as he clutches his fist at his side. he shouldn’t yell at his brother, not after what he went through  ;  but he’s so frustrated, but, what he doesn’t realize is that he’s not angry with owen  ----  he’s angry at himself for not being there. he’s angry for being HOME while his FAMILY was nearly killed. ❛ WHY didn’t you protect her, owen ? ❜

              it felt like years since she had ever felt like this. when her husband was killed — Ana thought that there would be no one else for her. she felt like THE universe was against ( even though she had saved it multiple times. ) but Jonathan had been there for her, the whole way through. him AND Isabella both. her children tried but they could never understand, and there was no way she could tell The Doctor.

                  it’s when his hands were placed on her hips that Ana threw caution to the wind and STOOD on the tips of her toes, pressing her lips against Jonathan’s. her own hands finding their way to rest against his shoulders. before she pulled away to take a breath, THE look of w a n t present in her green eyes. “ i totally agree. joining in is much more fun. ” her breath came out short, before she kissed him again.

                    LUST IS NOT NEW to him, he knew it all to well ---- had spent far to many nights in someone else’s bed, being USED ---- but with ana... it was different. she NEVER used him the way others did, never made him feel like he was a distraction and nothing more. she accepted him for his FLAWS, one of the only ones who knew who he really was, who he was behind closed doors. and there was no JUDGEMENT. he had been there after her husband died, had been her shoulder to cry on, her COMFORT during her mourning. he will never BELIEVE he’s good enough for her  ;  he’s toxic      (  POISON  )      and there was nothing that could convince him otherwise.
