Cassie shook her head, folding her arms as she rolled her eyes to the sky. “Can’t a girl just check on someone that doesn’t return phone calls? You’re worse than Tim, Conner.” At least lately, and that had bothered her more than she wanted to admit to anyone. They all kind of went on their separate paths but she needed them.
