every year, the state’s most prestigious museum hosts a single-night opening.
artists must create one painting based on the year's chosen concept.
if their painting captures the essence of the genre and stirs enough fear, the top three are displayed forever in the museum's grand hall.
this year’s theme: horror.
by nightfall, the gallery is filled with shadows and eerie silence.
one painting stands out, disturbing people who dare to glance at it once.
it doesn't even have a spotlight.
and yet, people refuse to look at it twice...
(before continuing, this post does have a picture containing disturbing imagery, do not continue further if easily scared.)
⠀. ˚̩̩̥͙ ⠀⠀🩸⠀⠀how to enter:
comment to specify your joining & reblog this post and (optional) invite 2-3 artists who may be interested in making a painting
send a specified email (ask) to the museum curator: @museumofhorrors to recieve your randomized horror sub-genre. you must incorporate some elements of that sub-genre into your painting (examples below)
it is highly advised to make a story that goes along with your painting and will get you more points, however this is not a must.

⠀. ˚̩̩̥͙ ⠀⠀🦴⠀⠀guidelines:
your painting must not be a copy of someone elses! the museum curator wants every painting to be strictly creative...
at least 90% of the painting should be made by you (locs and dividers are okay), though you get more points by including your own gifs, locs, dividers, etc...
your painting must be finished by 23rd of august. if you need more time, dm @museumofhorrors
1st place : custom edited theme, 3 moodboards, 3 divs, custom loc pack, 50 reblogs on 3 posts of your choice
2nd place : 2 moodboards, 2 divs, custom loc pack, 25 reblogs on 2 posts of your choice
3rd place : 1 moodboard, 1 div, custom loc pack, 15 reblogs on a post of your choice
