Damian was half way to grabbing her arm when she’d already gone around the corner. He mouthed multiple swears, going to gesture when the pain from jolting his arm shot through him. He grit his teeth down hard, focusing all his energy not to shout as he pinned himself against the brick wall. Fuck. FUCK.

Meanwhile, the man was startled by Claire’s sudden presence, sliding the gun somewhat-inconspicuously behind his back. He was strong looking, built, and seemed at least somewhat trained, But clearly not enough for this situation. “Eh… sorry, m'am,” he said, trying to push past her. “Busy.”

Claire was in no mindset for this game. He was’t being very stealthy, and she fought bigger brutes than him before. 

“Are you sure? You don’t seem too busy...and it’s rude to leave a woman in need.”
