After Jashin abandoned him in that hole, what remained in Hidan was an emptiness trying to fill itself. And somehow, he filled it with her. His Angel.

When the nights grew lonely, he prayed to her. Knelt in silence, hands clasped together, forehead pressed against Konan's knee as though she were altar and sanctuary both. His breath ghosted against her skin with words he could not speak aloud to anyone else. His prayers were uneven, sometimes half-formed confessions, sometimes desperate vows, sometimes nothing more than her name repeated like a mantra.

Konan never spoke. Just quietly sitting there, pale fingers sliding into his silver hair, threading through the tangles, the barest weight pressing down as though to anoint him. And once he finished offering the only devotion he had left, raw and fragile, she drew him in. A reward for his worship.

He buried his face between her legs, fingertips bruising into her thighs as he feasted upon her forbidden fruit and savoured her sweet nectar; devouring her like a man starved. Until she flowed into his hungry mouth like holy water.

He never indulged past that. The idea of pressing his body to hers, even in reverence, threatened to poison the one thing that still felt pure. So, he just thanked her for her gift while licking his lips clean.
