hello! i have not updated this account in a while, and i am very sorry to those that have been waiting so long for an update.
to be completely honest and transparent, i went through many things the past year and a half (nearly 2 years now??), got my bachelors degree, and recently got accepted to a masters program for my masters degree, which i will be starting next summer.
when i stopped updating, that was for a multitude of reasons but particularly because my laptop broke and i lost ALL of my sims files, not even just my hairs and mods but every piece of cc, tray files included, i had in my game. i was upset at having lost everything that i had worked to create and that + coupled with the new swatches update + finals approaching, made me drop everything sims related for a year and a half basically. i've only recently started playing again and working to "recreate" my mods folder as best i can.
all this said, i do plan on updating my hairs! i noticed that there were a few updates that others have completed (but i cant find them now :(), but i plan on updating all of my hairs, starting with my black hairs, throughout the month. i'll reblog them here when they're done and update the files on patreon, and hopefully be able to get back into meshing when i can.

FYI: CC hairs updated to the new swatches will mess with genetics if not properly tagged
Genetics in The Sims 4 are incredibly primitive but the offspring’s hair color depends on the color tags of the hair swatches that the parents have. With the 6 new swatches there were 6 new color tags introduced. As of writing this post, Sims 4 Studio isn’t updated yet and you can’t actually select these new tags when adding the new swatches. I don’t think there’s a workaround, so if you care about genetics you gotta wait for the Studio to update.

Hi! I’m new to cc hair creating, (so far I just do makeup) anyway for some reason I can’t find a single tutorial on how to make clay hair from scratch. There are a LOT of frankenmesh tutorials for some reason. I know you make your hairs from scratch, and honestly there gorgeous, so I was wondering if you knew of some sort of tutorial, or if you could make one. :) -anon
ashhshjds youre so sweet! i still think im very much a beginner in meshing from scratch, so i dont think i could make a tutorial atm (also because school and finals are coming up), BUT my resources page has all the tutorials ive used to make hairs; and i highly recommend evoxyr’s tutorial list as well! i reference that list and its resources constantly. (also tekri’s tutorial, while i just cannot use maya, the blender parts of the tutorial are a life saver)
also as a note, meshing from scratch is absolutely mind destroying as a beginner with zero experience with blender. simple frankenmeshing would stress me out to no end when first starting, so i think practicing with frankenmeshing, learning how editing meshes and UV’s work, and then weights, and then eventually work towards meshing from scratch, is a good segue into meshing mm from scratch.

hii i just wanted to say i love ur content and i think the stuff ur making from scratch is amazing. i just wanted to ask if maybe u could decimate ur meshes a little? i want to use all of ur stuff but 21k poly is kind of high esp for lower end computers so i cant download it ): either way i love ur stuff, keep doing what ur doing <3
hi!! thank you for the kind words! when i make my hairs from scratch, they undergo a process of decimating from anywhere from 100k polys to 200k polys, and then i subsequently decimate them to try to get them around ~20k (or lower!) without losing too much of the quality. i understand that may be too high for low end computers! i will be keeping this in mind for future cc, thank you! i’m thinking i will have 2 downloads, one for default quality (so, say ~20k) and one for lower (personally aming for ~15k, since ea has hairs that are in the 10k+ poly mark like the curls from SE pack). thank you for your patience while i try to create ♡

its lovemonth! this hair comes in 3 versions (all stand alone, so you can pick whichever version you want), version one is with hair in the front, version 2 is all behind the shoulder, version 3 is all behind the shoulder and behind one ear. this hairstyle is based off of yukika teramoto (x) and other kpop artists like loona’s chuu (x)! this is one of my first straight hairs made from scratch, with @evoxyr’s andromeda bangs to accomplish the wispy bangs look. hope you enjoy!
