Mordecai’s Elevation to Save the Jews (Esther 8)
Today's second Bible study focuses on Esther 8 and follows the hanging of Haman, the Jews' mortal enemy. Esther 8 records Mordecai's elevation to a position empowering him to intervene and save his people from Haman's genocidal edict.
The Tragedy of Haman’s Folly (Esther 7)
Our study of the Book of Esther continues with today's reading from Esther 7-8. This first of two Bible studies draws on Esther 7 and revisits Haman's plot to destroy the Jews and to hang Mordecai on the gallows he had prepared for him. Haman's treacherous plot takes a sudden turn when Esther reveals that she is a Jew and that her people are in danger of annihilation.
A Courageous Queen and a Sovereign God (Esther 5-6)
Today’s Bible study is on Esther 5-6. Esther’s decision to go uninvited before the king was an act of faith, as she chose to trust God for her life and the lives of her people. Providentially, when the king discovered his failure to reward Mordecai for his loyalty, Haman found himself honoring the very man he wished dead.

“If I perish, I perish.” (Esther 4)
Our chronological study of the Bible continues with today's Scripture reading, Esther 4. When news of the king's decree to kill the Jews on an appointed date reached Mordecai, he sent Esther a copy of the king's edict. Mordecai appealed to Esther that she must "go in unto the king…and to make request before him for her people" (Esther 4:8). With the words, "If I perish, I perish" (Esther 4:16b), Esther prepared to face the king and her fate.

Continuing our chronological study of the Bible, today's Scripture reading (Esther 1) marks the beginning of our study of the Book of Esther. A Suffering Savior, Armageddon and Christ’s Second Coming (Zechariah 13-14)
Today’s Scripture reading (Zechariah 13-14) concludes our study of Zechariah's prophecies. Zechariah 13 includes prophecies of Christ’s sufferings and of Jerusalem’s suffering for rejecting Christ. The opening verses of Zechariah 14 foretold that the heathen nations of the world would overrun Jerusalem. At the hour when all seems lost for Jerusalem, Zechariah foretold that the LORD would come roaring from heaven.
Zechariah’s Prophecy of Christ’s Rejection and Second Coming (Zechariah 11-12)
Today’s Scripture reading is Zechariah 11-12. The prophet Zechariah was privileged to foretell some of the great Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament Scriptures. In chapter 11, the prophet foretold that the Messiah would be sold for “thirty pieces of silver” and given “to the potter.” The Second Coming of Christ is the focus of Zechariah 12.

Progressivism and democratic socialism have embedded their ideology in our government and institutions, resulting in the sacrifice of our nation's founding principles and God-given rights. We are in a political war that "We the People" dare not lose, lest we lose not only our liberties, but also our lives.

Rebuilding Jerusalem and the Second Coming of Christ (Zechariah 8-9)
Our study of Zechariah's prophecies continues with today’s Scripture reading, Zechariah 8-9. Babylon had destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple; however, the LORD purposed to rebuild his sanctuary and the city. The LORD’s promises must have greatly encouraged the Jews to rebuild the Temple and the city of Jerusalem. The prophecies concerning the coming of the Messiah and His rejection by the Jews are recorded from Zechariah 9:1 to Zechariah 11:17.
The Eighth Vision and Genuine Worship (Zechariah 6-7)
Today’s Scripture reading, Zechariah 6-7, records the eighth and final vision of Zechariah: “Four Horse-Drawn Chariots” (Zechariah 6:1-8). Zechariah 7 records the LORD’s challenge to Israel to re-examine their fasts, turn from their hypocrisy, and worship the LORD sincerely.

“Moses: Crossroads of Faith”

The Eyes of the LORD are Upon Us (Zechariah 3-4)

In Zechariah's fourth vision, Joshua the high priest — representing a spiritually compromised Israel — stands before the LORD, with Satan as his accuser. The chapter concludes with a promise of universal peace and blessing under the Messiah's reign, when every man will rest "under the vine and under the fig tree."
