things to pay attention to
the tiny specks of colour in their eyes
the bass and background sounds in a song
starlight on a cloudy night
how someone looks when they think nobody can see them
the mannerisms of a stranger
real meanings behind spoken words
subtle facial expressions which last a second
the underlying flavours in food
emotions that a friend is trying to hide
little lights in a sleeping city
flowers growing through cracks in the pavement
the mixed colour palette in a piece of art
the melody of someoneâs voice
this year iâm going to find my way back to myself, read at least five books, lose weight, write something everyday and fight my mental illness. this year is going to be good.
How can 30 minute change your life?
Hii. I found out this method recently and want to share it with you. It seems pretty easy, but it is really working.Â
If you ask me what is the main reason of all failures I would answer â absence of patience. The reality is success takes time. And the bigger success takes more time. Richard Branson didnât become a millionaire in one night. Madonna didnât wake up being a queen of pop. David Beckham didnât turn into the one of the best footballers in a few training.
However, there is a trick that working for everyone and every time. Most of the people know about it very well, but never use it. Itâs called a 30-minute theory.Â
Try to spend 30 minutes on something every day and once you get used to it make it 40 minutes, then 50 etc. One of the advantages of this method is it suits absolutely everyone. For example, you want to read more books. Find 30 minutes in your day on reading. Easy, isnât? Therefore, in one year you can read almost 24 books.
Use 30 minutes every day to create a dream come true. Get more information about what you must interested in. Always wanted to learn Spanish? Or maybe want to know French? Do what you have always been putting off. In six months you will look back and remember what you have started with. You will be amazed how you succeed because of the 30 minutes in one day.
Donât blame yourself if you deviate from schedule and missed a few days. Just go back to studying and continue where you stopped. Remember: you are doing more than a lot of people.
Be patient. Donât expect the results on the next day. You need a time. The more ambitious goal you have, the more time you need.
P.S. Happy New Year to everyone !! I hope 2019 will bring all of you happiness, love, success and happy memories.Â
P.S.S. I hope this was useful. And i also hope you will use it in your beginnings. Â
this is such an eyeopener.
What to do if you suddenly find yourself homeless
FOOD
Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food
grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread
different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.
some dollar stores carry food like cans of beans or fruit
SHELTER
Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment
sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone canât steal it
Some churches offer short term residence
Find your nearest homeless shelter
Look for places that are open to the public
A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry
HYGIENE
A membership to the YMCA is usually only 10$, which has a shower, and sometimes laundry machines and lockers.
Public libraries have bathrooms you can use
Dollar stores carry low-end soaps and deodorant etc.
Wet wipes are all purpose and a life saver
Local beaches, go for a quick swim
Some truck stops have showers you can pay for
Staying clean is the best way to prevent disease, and potentially get a job to get back on your feet
Pack 7 pairs of socks/undies, 2 outfits, and one hooded rain jacket
OTHER
first aid kit
 sunscreen
a travel alarm clock or watch
 mylar emergency blanket
 a backpack is a must
downgrade your cellphone to a pay as you go with top-up cards
 sleeping bag
travel kit of toothbrush, hair brush/comb, mirror
 swiss army knife
 can opener
Reblog to literally save a life
if there is a Dollar Tree near you, they have entire food aisles
Planet Fitness also has $10 memberships. you can shower and they have free food days! pizza night 1st monday every month, bagel tuesday the 2nd tuesday every month.
Save a life reblog
i am so glad that i renblogged this however so long ago. i saw this post and shared it with others in mind, but now i am the one who really needs this. id like to think of this as good karma i guess
also a good list if anyone ever needs to run away from home for whatever reason.
Reblogging again because Iâve been living by a lot of these guidelines the last month. If you suddenly find yourself homeless, donât give up. You have options.
Wet wipes especially are life savers - crotch rot isnât pleasant.
Take care of your feet - if you canât walk, you stand a very real chance of dying. Thatâs not an exaggeration, take care of your feet.
Keep them dry, and if you can manage it try to change your socks daily - I had three pairs I would wash - more or less - and hang to dry so that I always had a dry pair to replace the ones I had on if they got wet.
Even a cheap plastic water bottle is a water bottle, fill it from public fountains and stay hydrated. If you can carry two and have room, keep one in your bag.
Your bag is your life. Do not put it down. I used to sleep with it on my front, it helped a little in terms of staying warm.
Newspapers torn up and stuffed into your jacket can help you stay warm. Layers are your best defense, you donât want to sweat because that will compromise your ability to stay warm and dry. If you get overheated you can peel off a layer and put it in your bag.
DONT overburden yourself. A heavy bag full of stuff might make you feel more prepared but it will also wear you out, trying to haul everything around. Pack smart, pack light.
Ziplock bags get thrown out all the time, grab them. You can pack anything you donât want to get wet in them, and you can also suck the air out of them and seal them so they take up less space.
Learn to build shelter; this is a skill I personally think everyone should learn Just In Case, because dumpsters are great but theyâre also dumpsters. You donât want to sleep behind one unless you really, really have to.
Protein is great but if you can manage it, remember to eat FRUIT. Something with vitamin C at least; my teeth started getting loose in their sockets because I wasnât getting enough vitamin C. Scurvy can kill you.
srsly about the Wet Wipes
I met somebody in Harvard Square. I didnât wanna give him money but I bought him wet wipes, a new reusable bottle, and a sammich.
The guy took Wet Wipes like manna from heaven
Wet wipes are fucking GOLD, I got into the habit of keeping a pack in the trunk of my car even after I got off the street. And towels.
I canât stress enough about staying dry, especially in the colder months.
News about that fella. I ran into him 2 years later a few months ago. Heâs getting his shit together as a barback in Harvard. I know this cuz he recognized me in his bar.
Be kind to homeless folks. They might just make you feel like an angel
one thing that pleased me so much about the âto all the boys ive loved beforeâ movie was that it portrayed high school so realistically. like, the casual mentions of/the usage of social media (like peter mentioning watching chrisâ snapchat story, or the etiquitte of commenting on someoneâs IG photo of you) was just so accurate. they didnt go completey over the top when it came to social groups and popularity. like, you can tell peter and gen are popular, but the crowd in the hallway doesnt part when they walk through. theyre treated like normal (albeit cooler) people among their peers, not royalty. it doesnt try to pull that âtext sent around the school and everyone receives it at the same time and laughs at the victimâ gag that SOME high school dramas like to pull despite it NEVER happening in real life (cough 13 reasons why cough). the scene with the photo on the locker required some suspension of belief, but it was done in a way that literally could have been done to someone before, and i can forgive it. even in the party scene, it was just most people standing around and talking. no one was puking in a vase, or doing kegstands, or dancing on a table, and ive been to many a highschool house party that was literaly just. people standing around, drinking and talking. this movie felt like actual teenagers were consulted in the making, not some middle aged writers who forget high school and get movie tropes confused with memory. in this essay i will

You Are Going To Have So Much Success In 2018 (pass it on)
I nearly scrolled past, but I got nervous
âYou are going to live a good and long life filled with great and terrible moments that you cannot even imagine yet.â
