The look on Joe’s face when Marianne called him an abuser oh my god I loved it. The disturbance. The denial. The man cannot cope with what he is and I loved how they encapsulated it all by him going into immediate panic mode when the police were closing in on him and he turns back to Bronte/Louise and is all like ‘kill me! Plz plz plz i’m a terrible person I deserve to die.’ 5 whole seasons Joe fought to live but when he knows he’s caught? He RUSHED Bronte/Louise in the hopes that she’d kill him! The man would have rather been shot dead than go to court and face trial and go to prison and have the entire world know who he was, he knew he couldn’t have weaselled out of it the way he always managed to and instantly wanted to die instead.
