the nuts and bolts of jon’s age may not be so clear cut, but he is young. enough that it’s always a factor when people look at him, even if they see the flight and the red cape, it’s still a kid behind the laser eyes, metaphorical glitz and glamor. blame would be pointless and unfair, all he can do is step into shoes that feel too big for him and hope, eventually, that they’ll start to fit. it’s not that he never feels like he knows nothing nowadays, it’d be equally unwise to assume he knows everything. he just doesn’t always have the luxury of showing it, can only feel lucky that the human part of him comes from the most confident person he’s ever met.
