“ a family dinner??  just for little ol’ me??  it’s like i’m already part of the family. ”  he makes a show of rolling his eyes as he settles back into the couch, feet propping comfortably atop the tea table.  honestly, he would’ve preferred no meeting at all but alas, it’s not like he had much of a choice.  “ so??  you gonna stand there with your mouth hangin’ or are you gonna show me around?? ” 

   she lets out a knowing hum, taking a moment to rummage through her jacket’s pockets, fishing out a golden credit card --- presumably grey’s, no doubt.  “ well??  what else are you in the mood for, then?? ”  and she dangles the card between her fingers now, grin widening. 

        reese is grinning, wide & toothy, as if she hadn’t just scraped off the side view mirror of eric’s vehicle clean.  it had been an honest mistake, she’d say.  a simple misjudgment on her part.  the garage’s walls happened to be a lot --- tighter than she’d anticipated.  that’s all!!  this little accident was in no way related to the heated argument she & eric had the night prior.  with an appreciative hum, she gives her masterpiece one last once-over before turning to the youngest of the bunch.  “ hey little rascal.  make you a deal??   keep this a secret & i’ll buy you lunch?? ”

MINJUN: okokok, before i reveal the secret ~formula~ u gotta promise me ur loyalty. i watched the social network, ok. and i refuse to be played as hard as andrew garfield's character did!!! i'll keep the flipflops though, those were chill.

grey: hey kiddo, i’m dropping by the store after work. there anything u want? grey: also, quick favor? ask the other kids if they want anything as well. grey: if they’re sleeping still, feel free to use whichever method u best see fit to wake them. grey: thanks! :-)

   “ do i look like a give a shit about who runs what, sweetheart? ”  dracula himself could demand for his seat & he wouldn’t budge so much as a centimeter.  not until he was finished, anyway.  & right then, he decides he’s far from finished.  his attention shifts to the drink set before him, wrapping his hand around the glass & taking a small sip before speaking.  “ trust me, lil’ bloodsucker.  if you lay a hand on me, a broken nail will be the least of your worries. ”   & it’s not a threat, not really; it’s a promise.  “ --- so, how about we save ourselves the unnecessary bloodbath & have a drink instead, yeah? ”
