“So you’re sayin’ I can’t have a sip, Sunshine?” Gaius asked from his corner of her tent. His green eyes watched his significant other with a bored expression on his face. Every so often, he’d move to wipe a bit of drool that trailed down his lip. Whatever she was cooking up smelled delicious… even if the ingredients were less than ideal.

The thief watched Tharja dump another vial into the cauldron, listening as it gurgled in response. Again, he heaved a sigh. He knew his lover wasn’t an amazing baker… though her liver-and-eel pie had surprised him the last time she shoved a forkful into his mouth.

“I don’t think it matters much, right? Just a sip. It smells like honeycakes and the stuff of dreams.” For a second time, Gaius swiped the drool from his mouth. Admittedly, the thief was planning on taking a sip even if Tharja vehemently denied him that. After all, he was good at being a sneak.

“Don’t drink that you blasted fool! It’s not made to drink, it’s for a hex, there could be an unexpected side effect if you drink it, such as a slow and painful death by poisoning!”

Tharja was trying to tell her husband not to drink one of her concoctions, they weren’t made for human consumption and even if that one in particular smelled sweet, it was going to have some sort of side effect. And gods forbid her husband did something stupid.
