“You’d pretend to enjoy yourself just for me? Gee, I feel special.” Leslie grinned, biting down on his lip to keep it from splitting his face in half. His tone was more of a drawl, but he was being genuine. He’d half-expected to have to prod at him for at least a few more minutes before he got him to play along and have a good time, but this was just as nice, if not better. He leaned forward, wrapping his arms around the taller boy’s waist and nodding, the motion minuscule so as not to displace the lips on his skin. He tilted his head back and pressed up on his toes a bit to kiss him properly. “Sure, we can dance, if you think you can keep up with me and my mad skills. I wanna do whatever you wanna do.”
“As you should. I don’t pretend to be happy just for anyone, you know. That’s reserved especially for you and a few select other people.” He let his arms wrap around the shorter boy, an easy grin on his lips. This was nice. Hakeem didn’t really think coming to prom would be a fun experience for him, but it was turning out to be quite the night. “I’m glad I came here with you,” he mumbled before their lips met. “Oh, please,” Hakeem snorted, pulling back from the kiss. “I’m sure I can out dance you anytime, any place. Especially right here and right now.”
