I spent a long time wondering how exactly she could breathe underwater if I fundamentally didn't want her to have gills. But after some quick research, I came to the conclusion that there are two options, or rather, two variations of the same option: like a frog or like a snake. Frogs can get oxygen from water through their skin, which is why they're slimy, and some amphibious snakes similarly suck oxygen from water through their mouths. So now I'm wondering what to do: either she's always slimy after getting wet, or she swims with her mouth open. slimy is undoubtedly sexier tho

I also decided to start trying to draw her with a slightly more "swimmer's" body and stole the oars like arms from cameron's avаtar lmao
