Having played Dokapon Kingdom, I’m well aware of which game series is more capable of fucking you over.

To be fair, Dokapon has a lot more random events that can mess with you or help you. So... I'd say Dokapon is way more chaos than Mario Party, because you can at least work towards a goal with some degree of success... Whereas Dokapon can fuck you over on a moment's notice.

I meanI’d argue that Dokapon is more chaos. There is more probability involved, and a lot of ways to screw over your opponents. So... yeah. Dokapon is just a bit more obscure, whereas everyone and their dog knows what to expect if you mention Mario Party.

But yeah, if Jevil were evil, he’d probably just curbstomp you rather than playing a game with you.

Most seem to portray Jevil as a villain, or an evil character. I don't see him like that. Jevil's definitely an interesting character, because he knows that the world he's in isn't real, whether because he knows that Delta Rune is a game, or because the Dark World might not be real... But I guess we'll need to see more of the story to know if the Dark World is actually real or not to know. But since he treats it like a game, it may be that he knows Delta Rune is a game. In any case, he may well know that death is not permanent for the Delta Warriors. That they can reload. After all, it's not necessarily linked to determination in the Dark World... Note there are no save points in the real world, for example, and that the save points generally talk about power shining inside you rather than filling you with determination. In any case, when he says that he wants to play a game, that is truly what he sees it as: a game. Not a fight between heroes and a villain, because he isn't one. If he really wanted to be malicious, after all, he could have simply thanked the Warriors for freeing him, and left to do evil. And note he's not even finished after the fight, despite having his HP depleted or being 'pacified'. He's still awake, still there, seemingly no worse for wear. And the he either gives you a gift, or seemingly comes with you. Basically, Jevil's not evil, and not a villain. His alignment is Chaotic Neutral. His only goal, knowing that his reality isn't actually real, is his own fun and amusement. Selfish, but not necessarily cruel or malicious.
