As they were laughing at my tanned skin, I was shaking my head at the fact that they couldn't accept that this is my skin and not theirs. It is as if they are laughing at my own acceptance of myself while they are trying to recommend me whitening products and them, trying to show their before and after photos as proof. I have nothing against whatever you do to your body - you own it - but please do not try to pull down others' confidence just because their standards of an acceptable skin complexion are different from yours.
