I just finished a re-watch of the series with my family, and as a rule we usually don't watch s3, but becauase it had been so long since we watched it we decided to, since we had forgotten most of it, and I know s3 was more accurate to the books but it really didn't do any justice for the storyline created in s1 ans s2, especially for Charles there was absolutely no continuity between s2 and s3 Charles and it was really sad

even if i didn't like North & South part III, i liked the conclusion of Ashton' story. and i just hope that she found some kind of peace and solace with her husband (which seems to be a decent man)
