Just a quick sketch of Veeti to wallow in my mixed feelings. Good thing; I'll probably be free from work and start my vacation tomorrow. :D Will see if I get extra work on weekend though. Bad thing: FF XIV 7.0 with its graphical update has proven hard for my laptop to run... From sweet constant ~80fps I've been getting constant drops to 15-48fps. Doubt they're optimising it or giving the chance to backroll. Can't help it, games move on. I love hanging out with my guild. :( The gaming part isn't enjoyable right now is all.

A page WIP! 83 pages drawn out of the intended 100-page buffer before the comic gets new pages. Getting very close now. One thing that makes the progress slower is the fact that there is a chapter change within the buffer, it'll take some extra braining. :P

Lempo :3 Lemme make a big post about him
From Christianity's perspective Lempo is akin to the Devil. That's true, as Lempo is the worse half of two deities in folklore: Lempo goes hand in hand with the name Lempi. As a word "lempi" means passion, attraction and goodwill.
Lempi is the goddess of fire and love. Lempi could be a feminine gentle force, Lempo could be more a masculine force that acts on raw passion. It could be that Lempo is Lempi corrupted, honest love gone bad by adultery.
So really, Lempo is all about R-18 stuff.
What comes to my use of Lempo in my story, YIH doesn't use his fertility aspect because it just has no place in it. Instead Lempo is a forest deity who guards the forests. This isn't anyhow true to the 'source material'. His appearance in YIH is unique as a forest deity. But he definitely is of an "evil" alignment.
He shapeshifts to deceive, he's the son of the mother of diseases. He's worked with his mother to further her plans for a while. Then he turned coat on his own family. On paper, he's a thoroughly bad agent.
But after turning his boat, he's the only one to possibly undo the destruction his mother has done.
so he's a bad boy gone good. :>

Siiri was a headstrong capable lady when she was younger. She's even more strong and cunning in her 50's though. :> Drawing a scene where she really gets to shine, bit impatient to start updating to show it BUT I gotta be a good boy and complete the buffer first.
