You will always be too much of something for someone: too big, too loud, too soft, too edgy. If you round out your edges, you lose your edge.

Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly. Many of them have good intentions. Most are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness. They aren’t inherently bad people, but they aren’t the right people for us. And as hard as it is, we have to let them go. Life is hard enough without being around people who bring you down, and as much as you care, you can’t destroy yourself for the sake of someone else. You have to make your wellbeing a priority. Whether that means breaking up with someone you care about, loving a family member from a distance, letting go of a friend, or removing yourself from a situation that feels painful — you have every right to leave and create a safer space for yourself.

I have the most wounds and scars from people who have claimed to love me; and it’s so hard to forget when the wounds still ache and sting.

Be careful of love. It’ll twist your brain around and leave you thinking up is down and right is wrong.

The whole point of moving on is to be able look back without feeling the pain.
It’s knowing that you’re broken but the hurt won’t spill out of the cracks anymore.

I never expected her. Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know you ever lived without them.

Everyone’s pain is different… I don’t like when people compare. I don’t like when people marginalize their feelings because they think they’re not allowed to have them. Someone will always have a tougher go than you. Does that mean you’re not allowed to feel hurt? To be sad?
