NY Comic Con started today. Usually I try to take either the Thursday or Friday off, to wander the Con floor before the crowds hit. But work is kind of nuts, so I decided to be a grown up and just hit the Con on the weekend. I did need to stop by the Javits Center to pick up my medical sticker though (Cancer has its privileges, I guess). Then I found out that the lead of one of my favorite shows (#WynonnaEarp) was gonna be there at the E! Food truck pimping her show for the People’s Choice Awards. So, I planned for a late lunch so I could time my trip to Javits with her appearance. I got there just before 3pm, and happened to be standing near the front of the line for the food truck. The actor (Melanie Scrofano) arrived just about 3, chatted with the crowd for a minute and then ambled into the truck where she handed out donuts and she was really pushing them (to be fair, they were really good). I had about a five minute wait (I happened to be situated near the front of the line), voted for the PCAs, got a photo, got my donut, went inside to get my medical sticker and skedaddled back to the office. Sure I got to the office super early and stayed rather late, but it was worth it. EXCEPT, I found out there was a The Good Place photo op that I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT!
