Heād first met you at Dressrosa when the team had split up. He wouldnāt deny that you were the most beautiful woman heād ever laid eyes on, but that wasnāt what had attracted his attention. Youād been helping a small, crying child when heād first seen you, giving them a soft, beautiful smile. Heād approached you while you were helping the child under the pretense of helping the child as well. Thatās not to say that he didnāt want to help the kid, just that heād had ulterior motives when heād done so. Once the two of you had helped the child, heād introduced himself as Sabo. He hadnāt revealed himself as a revolutionary until later, unfortunately unsure of if he could trust you. It wasnāt that he didnāt want to trust you, heād already been praying that you could be trusted, only that revolutionary work required discretion. Surprisingly, youād immediately introduced yourself as a strawhat, one of his little brotherās crew, a statement that made things so much harder. He wanted desperately to tell you the truth, that he was Luffyās other brother, that he was part of the Revolutionary Army, that he was here to see Luffy and take Aceās devil fruit, but he couldnāt, not yet. So he remained quiet, instead he talked to you about other things, places heād visited, his friends, and more importantly, about you. Listening to you talk, he swore he could sit there with you for an eternity and never once get bored of hearing your beautiful voice. Once the fighting had started, heād made it his mission to 1) protect Luffy and 2) protect you. Not that you couldnāt protect yourself, but for some reason he couldnāt bring himself to separate from you and risk you getting hurt. Saving Luffy from Burgess, heād left you behind, knowing that youād be in more danger if you were there than if he kept you by his side. In just a single day, he was head over heels for you, wishing you could go with him. But his little brother needed his crew and he doubted youād leave them anyway, from what Robin had said, Luffyās crew was incredibly loyal to him. Not that some of them hadnāt tried to leave for various reasons, just that it wasnāt something any of them took lightly. Instead, heād pulled you aside after the fighting, telling you about him being Luffyās other brother as well as a revolutionary. Youād just smiled at him, telling him that you were glad Luffy had such a good older brother. Thankfully, youād been okay with his request to write to you from time to time. He couldnāt guarantee that youād be able to write him back, unsure if theyād get to him while busy with revolutionary work, but had given you his den den mushi number, promising to call if he wasnāt too busy. In truth, he probably shouldnāt have given you the information, but anything to hear your voice again, anything to talk to you again. Not many things phased him, few things brought his mind to such a grinding halt, but when youād kissed his cheek, youād left him completely stunned, staring at you in a mix of surprise and elation. Youād told him to write you often before walking away to check on Luffy, the young man standing there, his brain trying to gather itself together enough to function. How long had it been since he allowed him to flop backwards into flowers or grass? How long had it been since heād felt such delight, such absolute bliss? Heād been happy before, sure, but this was different, this had him grinning like an idiot, it had him damn near kicking his feet and rolling around in the flowers from sheer giddiness. True to his word, he wrote to you often, or at least, as often as possible. He knew you were going somewhere where he couldnāt send a lot of letters to, but as soon as he heard of Luffy heading for Whole Cake Island, he was writing to you every day. Sometimes it was inconsequential, unimportant updates, telling you how he was doing and, if possible, what he was doing. Others were sweet words, poems, or lines upon lines of praise and flattery, of your beauty and kindness. It was obvious to anyone who read what he wrote that he was absolutely smitten with you. He swore, once he took down the world nobles, heād find a way to have you by his side, even if it meant sailing with Luffy as a pirate. He believed in the armyās goals, but once the World Government was toppled and his main goal was accomplished, you would be his top priority. And then, then heād confess. It might have been clear how crazy he was about you, but that didnāt mean he wouldnāt still give you a proper confession. One with flowers and loving endearments, a moonlit night filled with stars, candles lit in a romantic gesture as he professed his long time feelings for you. He only hoped that youād return his feelings, not that he thought youād reject him, but there was always that nagging voice in the back of his head that feared that you might not feel the same way about him. Taking a deep breath, he wrote out his latest letter, he was about to head to Marijoa, meaning he wouldnāt be able to contact you for some time, but he promised you that heād be safe, that heād write to you again as soon as he got the chance. Closing his eyes, he sealed the letter. He didnāt want to send it, didnāt want to worry you, but you needed to know that he might not be able to write to you for a little while. He hadnāt mentioned exactly what he was doing, only that he was about to head out on a mission and wouldnāt be able to contact you for some time. Hopefully, youād be okay, hopefully you wouldnāt worry about him too much. Heād make sure to survive this though, make sure to succeed. He had to, he had to so he could return to you, so he could tell you how he felt. Reluctantly, he handed the letter to the bird, worried about how youād feel when you read it. It would be alright, heād come back from this and heād write you another letter, heād tell you that he was alright and that his mission was a success. Heād promised you in the letter that heād write to you again as soon as he got back, he had to keep his promise to you. Meaning he had to make it out of this alive. Heād come back to you.

Luke and Marius x a shy!reader who is jealous and finally gets their attention
Luke:
You know that Luke and Rosa are childhood friends and therefore spend a lot of time together. You know that. So, your jealousy is really quite embarrassing. And from where you are, they seem to be discussing the newest case you have for NXX. But you can't help but let your mind wander a bit. Your crush on Luke has been around since you joined the NXX. He's sweet, intelligent, strong, and funny. He's everything in a guy. You've had numerous interactions that brought the two of you closer together, meaning your crush has grown.
You want to get his attention somehow. Maybe that'll do something for your relationship. You think for a minute and figure out something. You excuse yourself to go to the bathroom. However, you actually go to your self made lounge and put on a nice outfit and spiff yourself up a little. You look pretty good too. It's perfect. You'll just walk in front of them and ask Luke for some help on something. It's perfect.
When you come back again, Luke and Rosa have separated now. She's still sitting on the couch, and Luke is looking through the data at the bookcase.
As you walk near him, you accidentally trip over something and fall in front of Rosa. She notices and asks if you're ok. You get up, and your knees are scuffed up a little. She sees and helps you to your feet, and she brings you into your lounge and helps you treat your scuffed knees.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" she asks. "That was a nasty fall."
"Yeah, I'm fine," you say, disappointed. "Do you think Luke saw that?"
"What? Your fall?" she asks, and you nod. "I think so..."
"Oh, great," your embarrassment grows like hell.
"But he was really worried about you," she says.
"He was?" you ask.
"He was. And if he really saw how amazing you look, he would be so flustered," she tells you.
"Really? He would?" you ask.
"Oh, yeah, he's been asking me to help him ask you out for a while now," she says without thinking. "Oh, wait! I wasn't supposed to say that. Whoops."
"Wow, I...I had no idea," you are shocked.
"Yeah, he's liked you ever since you joined NXX," she guesses there's no keeping stuff from you now.
"Oh, well, that's..." you trail off.
"You should tell him how you feel because he's kinda been nervous to ask you out directly," she says.
"Thank you, Rosa; I think I will," you thank her.
"Sure thing, Y/N," she smiles as you walk out of the lounge.
Marius:
You and Marius always have lunch together on Tuesdays. You're not sure how it started, but you love it. You love your lunches with Marius. He's so fun to be around, and he's so handsome. He's a lot of great things.
Today is no different, and you two enjoy so ice cream at an outdoor cafe. He tells you about his art class at Stellis University and how his professor is giving him an easy sculpting assignment.
"I think you're the only person who would call a sculpting assignment 'easy,'" you joke.
"Well, I have some amazing skills, not to brag," he says. You laugh.
"I'm sorry to doubt you," you say.
"Aww, Y/N, it's ok, no need to apologize," he says. You both continue to eat your ice cream when you notice his eyes wander to the street. He gets up from the table and goes over to a brown-haired woman. He begins talking to her, and they hug, making it known that they have some type of close relationship. However, they don't look related, so you're not sure who she could be. They talk for some time, and you see that his ice cream begins to melt.
After speaking to this woman for about 10 minutes, he finally returns with the woman with him. You start to feel hot as you're not very good with new people and a new person is coming right at you.
"Y/N, this is Rosa. Rosa, this is Y/N," he introduces you both.
"Hello!" she greets you with a big smile.
"Uh, hi," you hesitantly say.
"Rosa and I work together, and I saw her on the street and thought I'd bring her over to say hi," he explains.
"Yup," she agrees with him. "I mean, would you say you're kinda my boss at times?"
"Oh, definitely I am," he says. "Rosa, do you want to join us?" Oh jeez.
"Oh, I really shouldn't. You guys are here together; I really shouldn't," she tries to get out of it.
"At least lemme get you an ice cream," he insists.
"I...alright," she stops fighting with him, and he goes back inside the cafe to order her ice cream. Rosa sits across from you, and the silence between you both is pretty awkward.
"So, how do you know Marius?" she asks, and you note that she calls him by his first name.
"I go to school with him at Stellis," you say.
"Oh, I see, that's nice," she replies, and you nod. More silence. You feel warm again. Why did Marius bring her over here? It's actual torture. You can't help the embarrassment you feel from not being able to interact with Rosa.
Marius returns with Rosa's ice cream, and she gets up from the seat and says her goodbyes, and leaves. You mentally berate yourself for being so awkward.
"So, what did you think of Rosa?" he asks you.
"Uh, what?" you're confused. Why is he asking you about this?
"Did you like her?" he asks, trying to be more specific.
"Uh, I mean, we didn't talk much, so..." you trail off.
"Yeah, you're right; I was just hoping you'd like her because it would suck if you didn't like any of my friends," he says as if it means hardly anything.
"Why would you want me to like all your friends?" you ask.
"Oh, well, you know, cause we're dating," he says, again, like it's nothing.
"What?" you ask him. Your embarrassment fills up again because your head is swimming trying to remember when he asked you to be his significant other. Unfortunately, your memory doesn't give you any answers.
"Oh, crap, did I forget to say that I wanted to be your boyfriend. I guess I just assumed you knew cause we got out a lot, so..." he trails off. It seems like he's the embarrassed one.
"Marius, I would love for you to be my boyfriend," you say.
"Really? Whew. That's good," he says, and you laugh.
