So I made my first ever gif trying to teach myself some adobe products. Also just saw Travisâs look into the camera and it felt right.

yâall: mlm and wlw
my chaotic dumbass internal monologue: mlem and wuhluhwuh
Today, I woke up to something amazing:
Lilly Singh came out to the world as bisexual. Which is so, so amazing.
Obviously, she received a lot of love and support from the internet. But another of the most common replies she received was how they âalways knewâ and how âobviousâ it was and how they had âseen it coming for the longest timeâ.
While I really appreciate all this acknowledgement and the fact that she was accepted nonetheless â as a bisexual woman myself â I cannot stress enough what it really means to come out.
Coming out is a result of a journey that involves a lot of soul-searching, self-acceptance, and finally feeling safe â physically, psychologically, emotionally â with oneself and the people one chooses to come out to.
So, if any person comes out to you, it is because they have been able to accept themself and have begun to live their truth freely, and doing so without the fear of judgement, prejudice, discrimination, and even violence.
It is much less about you coming to know that theyâre not straight or cis-gender or binary.
By saying that you have known it all along and that it was âso obviousâ and asking them what took them so long to âadmitâ something as âobviousâ to you, you are (surely unintentionally) kind of trivialising the journey the person has gone through before coming out to you.
Iâm sure you donât mean to do it, but maybe donât say such things to the person who has just come out to you?
Things you can say, though â if you really want to show how supportive you are â could be:
âIâm really happy for you.â
âIâm so glad you can finally live your truth!
Or just give them a hug! Educate yourself. Ask for clarification.
(Fellow-queer folk, add on!)
Please keep in mind, guys, coming out is a lot lesser about the person to whom one comes out, and more about the person who IS coming out.
So, donât question their orientation. Try not to overwhelm them by insisting that they answer certain questions that they may not be comfortable answering, or by rushing to apply stereotypes (intentionally, or unintentionally).
Just offer them your unconditional love and support in any form. Thatâs all one needs.
I fucking HATED when people said "I always knew" cause like //I// didn't know so how could you. So yeah, don't say that to someone. It means that your sexuality is just stereotypes that others can see rather than a feeling inside.
And this is coming from a queer lady hoping for this day for years. I'm so happy for Lilly!
âBirds evolved from dinosaurs.â While this statement is technically true it isnât very useful and thus is a misconception of the relationship among avian, dinosaurs, and reptiles. Not only did birds evolve from dinosaurs â birds ARE dinosaurs.
You know the gays love a reveal and sheâs giving us everything we wanted
Iâm sweating just watching this.
she deserves an award
I honestly don't know what to do with this information but I had to share. This runway was just weirdly similar!

This still fucking cracks me up
Okay. I am currently sitting next to a door that looks like a pull, but is a push, and NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO FIGURE IT. They will start fiddling with the lock and pulling at the door and give up entirely before thinking to push. If someone says something it might be because a LOT of people are idiots
