ok so i talked about underrated characters now its time for OVERrated characters-
Severus Snape- Everyone thinks he's a hero and whatnot but I think Snape is kinda overrated. reasons why- he treated harry like shit from Day one. I mean, the amount of hate he gave harry, it could've led to depression. thankfully it did not, but the way snape singled out harry for every little thing, and i really hated it. If any teacher did that to me, I would've literally cried almost every day, even though i knew he hated me. Just cuz he loved lily potter, doesn't mean he is redeemed of everything he did the last 6 years. its kind of creepy actually.
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore- Again, everyone thinks he's a total hero, no questions asked. but what irks me so much about dumbledore is, whatever the reason, he left harry at the dursleys. where harry was mistreated, ignored, and basically treated like a piece of shit. Harry lived in a frikin broom closet for god's sake!!! and dumbledore knew, he knew how the dursleys treated harry and yet, he didnt do anything about it. no matter what the reason, there is no excuse for leaving a child in an abusive home. Plus, he was literally planning to take over the world!!! If kendra didnt die, he would've done just that. and then what? he would probably have been worse than voldy. Also remember sirius?? dumbledore knew that sirius was feeling cooped up, he knew that sirius was a man of action, yet did nothing. on that note, he didnt even tell harry that voldy might lure harry into the department of mysteries, which seems to me crucial info. this was also partly snape's fault, because he knew harry was having dreams about the dept. of mysteries, and he knew what it meant. yet he did nothing.
so this turned into a veerryy long post but if there is anything to add, i will. also there are other overrated characters, but these were my top two
i think luna and dean are some underrated characters in harry potter. how about you?
does anyone know a good platform for writing fanfics? i wanna write some but not on tumblr,coz i wanna write more than one plus i dont wanna do only fanfics here so
i hate how slytherins are misrepresented in harry potter. slytherins are the clever house. not the evil house. jk rowling makes it seem as though all slytherins are evil. clever does not necessarily mean evil. i read somewhere that jk rowling said that the sorting hat made 7 mistakes, one of them was putting snape in slytherin.(idk if its true but still). now, lemme tell you why snape deserved to be in slytherin. snape was clever af. he literally managed to fool one of the greatest legimilens of all time- voldy. snape was clever enough to never let anything slip,everyone believed snape was a death eater till the last moment. if you think snape wasnt clever, that he didnt deserve to be in slytherin, you are absolutely wrong. this ends my rant cuz its 12am and i have an exam tomorrow.

ok so remember how in the 7th book, there was a taboo on 'voldemort'? so i've been thinking, and i've come to the conclusion that there's NO WAY that some people didn't start calling him voldy, vold on the mould, moldy voldy, etc. i mean it would be hilarious, jk rowling should have included this lol

guys um idk if anyone mentioned this before iām quite new but has ANYONE ever shipped voldy and harry potter? i mean. if someone wants proof ask me or dm me i have written proof. if too many people want it ( highly doubtful as this is my first post) i will make another post with the picture :)
I mean, did voldy even try to kill harry? sure, he tried to kill him when harry was a baby, but voldy didnt know harry then. in seven years, he had SO many chances to kill harry, but no, what he does is make harry talk. i mean voldy never actually tried to kill harry, the battle of hogwarts is an exception but that was because he needed to keep up his bad reputation or whatever. but seriously. think about it. along the way somewhere, he decided he liked harry and didnt wanna kill him anymore, but he was the dark lord and had a reputation to uphold, so eerytime, he almost kills harry, not quite.
