Kingsman Glasses Comparison
Cutler and Gross (left), Rain House (middle), and Magnoli Clothiers (right)
Cutler and Gross ($450) London - Worn in the film but coming with a hefty price tag for anyone looking for them for cosplay. They are an investment worth thinking about if you are that big of a fan or want new glasses. They sit comfortably on the face and are very light. They come with a case with the Kingsman logo embossed on the outside and rose gold lettering on the inside. If its your first time ordering with Mr. Porter you get a free pocket square you can use as a cleaner cloth. The color of the glasses is dark, warm amber with spots of marigold peeking in. The only downside and thing to watch out for is the gold lettering on the inside, the ‘Galahad’ and Kingsman logos do wear off with wear but since its carved into the frames, it stubbly remains. The Cutler and Gross logo which is a solid gold piece inside the frame remains perfectly preserved. This is the smallest pair size pair out of the three.
Rain House ($30 can vary) China - These are the cheapest and closest pair I have seen to the Cutler and Gross pair, they are now hard to find since many people have grabbed them up from ebay. They are pretty light and looks to be copied somewhat closely from the Cutler and Gross pair but they are slightly bigger, more taller. The color is very off, the tortoiseshell standing out clearly. They do come with a case that is copied from the Cutler and Gross pair and also a cleaning cloth with the Kingsman logo.
Magnoli Clotheirs ($75) New Zealand - The first replica’s to come out, these are well made and the closest color wise but they are still too light. The shape isn’t as dead on, them being designed after photos from the film but its hard to tell in photos. They run a little heavy and for some it make put pressure they are not use to on the bridge of their nose. They are also the widest of the three. The glasses come just by themselves. These seem like they would last much longer than a cheaper replica wear wise.
Below the cut you’ll find a variety of photos of side by side with the official pair (the ones worn in the film) of Kingsman glasses by Cutler and Gross.
