when i wrote the first draft of WHEN THE SUN SETS sometime in 2019 (!), i wanted to tell a story of a husband trying to assimilate back into society post WWI and his stubborn wife who would do anything to bring her husband to normalcy.
somewhere along the way, a cat became involved. i don’t remember the specifics of how she came to be in the story, but she was there and she was a great comfort to my two characters.
that cat was inspired by my dear friend’s kitty named Cleo. Cleo is the sweetest cat that could ever exist. getting pictures of her from @smokeinherperfume was the highlight of my day during a time where i had no real life support during COVID.
unfortunately, Cleo is not doing so well now. after a series of tests, they’ve learned that her kidneys are failing and have focused their treatment plan to palliative to ensure Cleo has the most comfort until she decides to cross the rainbow bridge.
with that, as any pet owner knows, comes vet bills.
if you can, please donate to Cleo’s wonderful mother’s Go Fund Me to ease a bit of the financial burden.
Hey, my name is Emma and I'm raising funds for the palliative care of my sweet… Ev Osmanovic needs your support for Help Cleo get treatment
i am so sad to hear about beloved Cleo, my muse. she deserves an easy, pain free send off.
