was visiting a friend who has a farm, and one of the chickens has a home made flared cone on, so i asked what was up with that and she said "that's diesel, and she's suicidal" so obviously i went ??? and she pressed the door lock on her truck fob so the truck beeped, and this dumbass bird SPRINTED full tilt across the garden to shove her head in the tailpipe. she has to be locked up and coned so she doesn't gulp down toxic fumes direct from the pipe for some idiot bird reason. she is obsessed with doing this and has to be locked up any time someone is using a vehicle.
i told her i posted about this and she has an update (which i guess content warning for animal harm [the animal did it to it's damn fool self])
she found this out the first time when she auto-started her truck to warm it up before work one below-freezing morning and came out ~5 minutes later to find (the then unnamed) diesel with her head stuffed in the tail pipe hanging limply by her idiot neck and thought that she was dead, ran over and pulled her out, and the chicken went "oh hi! anyways mind if i get back in there?" and did it a-fucking-gain??
best guess is bc she feeds her chickens with a pvc gravity pipe like this
and despite having ~40 other chickens who don't fuck this up, diesel went "food comes from tubes, this is tube, β΄ this is the ~secret~ food hole that the others do not know about. i will be rewarded with golden seed for being the cleverest of them all :)" and is now on 24/7 vehicle related suicide watch. fine line between docile and dumb sometimes.
has anyone else seen they put seven position zeros and made it look like Hikari and Karen's blood (their problems, their love, their essence) is flowing into all of them like the other Kukugumi are fundamentally tied to and reflections of Hikari and Karen and when Karen's dead body drops through the floor there's eight stars in the ceiling above her with her in the middle to make nine, because the others are enlightened and she's the only one left who has to change and the others (who are also like other pieces/aspects of her within the qualities they represent) are shining down on her waiting for her to join them in the land of the living/real world outside the fairy tale loop that let Karen ignore reality

"Hero with a one-track mind"
"Hero," both from Karen being a demigod and her protagonist status/personality
"One-track mind" is pretty obvious. This title fits under the "roast" category of touhou titles.
A fairly straightforward title, just like Karen herself
Species: Demigod. A rather protagonisty thing to be, and a role known for prevailing against impossible odds.
"Osaki with ears pointed at the door"
Meant to evoke the image of a dog waiting eagerly for its human to return, doing nothing else- and Mahiru wants very much for her "partner" to come back to her, practically centering her life around the girl
Species: Osaki. A creature known to attach itself to people or families and help them the best it can... and once you've bonded to an osaki, there's absolutely no way to get rid of it.
"Handsome tiger"
"Handsome" implies butchness and galliantry, both of which Futaba has in spades
"Handsome tiger" also seems like something Kaoruko would call her; her title was likely given by Kaoruko
Species: Tiger youkai. Canon association.
"Traditional princess in all regards"
"Traditional" both because of her roots in traditional Japanese dance, and being one of the oldest Japanese mythical creatures (a ιΎ).
"Princess" in reference to her status as a dragon princess and her overall attitude (she behaves like spoiled nobility)
"Princess in all regards" reflects how basically everyone sees her as a princess, whether that means "noble" (most strangers) or "spoiled" (her Seisho friends). It's also an innuendo.
Species: Ryu dragon. Canon association.
"Star-chasing classicist"
"Star-Chasing"- "Hoshimi" translates to "stargazer," but Junna does more than look. She's a seeker, a hunter, who works to catch the things she idolizes for herself. It's also in reference to her quote collection; she's seeking to become like the "stars" of the past.
"Classicist" in reference to her quotes, most of which come from classic works, and her intensive research giving her Thoughts And Opinions about said works
Species: Magician youkai. In non-touhou terms, like a witch/wizard. Not just because ooh good at school; in touhou canon most magicians were originally human and have to strive for their youkai-hood. And even after, a magician by nature forever pursues the perfection of their craft.
"Indulgent keeper of delectable moment"
"Indulgent" has a double meaning; it can refer to her kind, indulging nature towards her friends, or her unapologetic seeking of pleasure
"Keeper of delectable moment"- At first glance, this seems like it refers to her habit of photography; she keeps the moments she treasures in her photos. But looking back... it's not just photos she's keeping, is it?
"Keeper"- There's the literal meaning of "to keep" as "to maintain," but the word can also carry the connotation of keeping something locked up, protected, and/or cared for (eg. gatekeeper, zookeeper, treasure-keeper)
"Delectable" is a word usually used for food, in reference to Nana being a good cook and the demiurge being of the material rather than spiritual plane. Also forms an interesting tie-in with "indulgent."
Species: Demiurge. "Yeah I trapped your immortal souls in a universe of my own creation that I maintain with my overwhelming strength... but I stay silly! :P"
"Fiery" both from her being a demon and her spirited personality
"Adversary" is in reference to her rivalry with Maya, which occupies much of her time. It is also the translation of the title "Satan."
Species: Demon. Canon association.
"Prideful vessel of grace"
"Prideful" is pretty obvious. It also crucially contradicts "vessel of grace."
"Vessel of grace" both in reference to her unmatched grace on stage, and her belief in her own hollowness for said grace to shine through
"Grace" as a tangible thing is associated with religion, in reference to her being an angel
Species: Angel. Canon association.
"Mysterious unlucky bake-neko"
"Mysterious" should also be obvious
"Unlucky" references Hikari's misfortunes, the upset she brings to Nana's "perfect world," and (most simply) her being a black cat
"Bake-neko"- Hikari's last title is simply her species name, because not much is known about her at first.
Species: Bake-neko. She already acts like a cat. Now she looks like one too. Cats also have nine lives, just as Hikari regained her brilliance even after her loss in England.
