Witch craft on the go

“Uhh, four or five years give or take, you?” It was weird to talk about living on the street, since most people did not want to know about the dirty facts. 

   “If you think this is bad, you should see the other guy    Oh fuck!” He groaned obnoxiously, attempting to wiggle from her tending hands. The wound was shallow but long and jagged, for it extended from just above his naval to the center of his chest. Panos snorted a chuckle at the thought of the wound, after it would’ve been healed, as being an addition to his collection of scars. Sighing heavily (and regretting it), he threw himself back on the couch. “You’re pretty nifty with… healing.” He rolled his eyes at his ridiculousness.

Blinking at the very much psychotic male, “Right. Well then.” Kel was getting far to used to his shit, at least he didn’t giggle. Hearing a grown man giggle was just odd. Squinting at the cut as it dipped to one side before poking at it with the needle, “How did you even do this? Where you fighting a Russian mob member? I saw some of their knife fighters, tricky little bastards.” She was so going to need alcohol after this. 

Pointing the way towards the Chinese as it was about 2 blocks away, she wasn’t too put out about having her shopping interrupted. She still wasn’t used to being able to pay so much at one time. “Sure, I remember what it’s like. I only reticently got an actual job and been able to pay for rent and food.”

“I mean I did cost you that cheese, and if you go back to that store too soon then they’ll be more on guard.” Not to mention she looks like she’s been on the road for a while, Kel had a pull out couch back at her little apartment and she doesn't have a single thing in the apartment worth stealing. No any and all valuables Kel may have collected over the years is safe in one of her caches. “Sure, there’s a five guys burger place or a half decent all you can eat Chinese place. I’m Kel by the way.”

Kel was trying to decide what kind of cereal to buy when she saw out of the corner of her eye another drifter, she knew the look. Shoes about worn through but the dead give away was the panic and then acceptance at being caught, she’d been at this a while then. Kel had to admit her form was top notch she almost didn’t notice her drop her bag at first leaving all evidence and more likely any ties to her at the crime scene. Abandoning her cart and without looking down or breaking stride she grabbed the woman’s purse and followed after. Knowing better than to try and yell out when the other turned Kel tossed her purse back to her, “Not sure the string cheese was worth it. If you’re going to lift might as well go big.” Or at least filling.

Two options: she could pay for everything she had managed to stow away already, hopefully having enough cash, or she could ditch the whole bag and get out in under twenty seconds. With maybe a five dollar bill in her pocket, and very heavy regrets, she turned to walk back towards the exit, dropping her bag discreetly to the floor as she went.

All he could do was wince at her threat. The last time he went to the beach and had a scrape on his knee. When he stepped in the water, it was like someone dipped his scrape in acid. Or he was simply being melodramatic. “Ooo    “ he fluttered his fingers, “I prefer being compared to a cockroach. At least people are afraid of me.” And commence the strange, slightly maniacal silent laughter that had his shoulders painfully bouncing and his stomach tightening.  Ah yes, he was the King of Dweebs. “Yeah. Totally. I mean, it’s the least I could do for you since you healed me up.” And so he ended the statement with a silly grin and nod.
