Every 5SOS Album Ranked
1. Everyone's A Star (Objectively their best album. I hate that it doesn't have hundreds of millions of streams and views like the rest of their songs yet.) Ashton is getting the verses he deserves, and the songs he had the most creative contribution to are actually my favorites! Also proves they are a real band and not just a boyband. (Despite the song lol)
2. CALM (This album showcases Luke's vocal range the best in my opinion. The falsetto, the screaming, the rasp. The toxicity in the lyrics. Hits from start to finish. Cleanest production. Perfected their more pop rock sound from Youngblood.)
3. 5SOS5 (Introspective, indie folk vibes all around. Very mature sound and lyrical content. What I would consider their first "adult" record. Underrated, ahead of its time. I predict it will be considered a classic in the future.)
4. Sounds Good, Feels Good (Proper pop-punk, summer soundtrack, lots of Green Day influence. Shows off Michael's vocals the best out of any album. This is truly the genre he belongs in which is why I love his solo projects.)
5. Youngblood ("From prog rock to alt pop genius songwriting." Not super cohesive. You could hear this was a transitional phase for them creatively. But definitely their most heartbreaking, unrequited love album that makes me get teary-eyed. Strongest, radio-friendly singles. Almost tied with SGFS!)
6. Self-Titled (Still finding their voices, but still a no skips debut with really crafty, cheeky songwriting. Showcased their personalities the most, which is what I feel EAS does too just with more experience and skill. Will cherish this album forever. Most artists' early work is their best and they fade over time, but I think 5SOS definitely is in their prime rn.)
But what do you think? 🖤
