chiaki = cluster B

chiaki’s character regression (?) makes my head spin because i can’t tell if it’s intentional or a result of lazy writing... i just feel like every time he says/realizes something he contradicts it later. obviously chiaki has alwayssss been a hypocrite and it's a huge flaw of his but when he talks about how he loves rst and how he’s happy with the way the unit has changed just to act the same way he did pre-supervillain (evasive dismissive etc etc) it’s so… upsetting..? and this doesn’t even have anything to do with the tension during SS or the whole rstM/rstN ordeal i just thought that at this point he would be more willing to share his problems with rst without them having to pry it out of him. not to make tetora the bus driver but i was sooo happy when he lashed out at chiaki in overflow. it bothers me how he still struggles to confide in rst despite everything that's happened thus far... i do think he has gotten better but i guess since his insecurities are so ingrained into his mindset he just keeps... going in circles. i tell myself it's intentional by saying it stays true to his long-term identity issues and the strain btwn his personal disposition and hero ideology But also… this is happyele we’re talking about…😭
