Remembering

Good evening to forrest fires, trans men who love american gothic, to 8 year old girls in grocery stores who know how I'll die and to vampires in lighthouses who prefer the salt in oceans to salt in blood, astorids, half ghosts who write songs in their bedrooms, glass in parking lots and to suburban guardian angels who can't protect me anymore.

water has memory. the water in your blood remembers the oceans as waves, remembers the sky as rain, remembers the shape of the glass you drank from. the water in your blood remembers caverns, deeper and wider than feels safe, remembers storms and floods that surged with might. the water in your blood reminds you that you are nothing but the world, experiencing itself.
